    This is dope.

Like actually good. Better than any of his other songs. And Saadiq on the production? this is bigtime.

If I didn't know he was a ball player, I'd call him a pro rapper.

    Has some JCole flow

Saadiq got him to stay on the beat; Dame's flow is great, but he can drift quite a bit tempo-wise. This is sharper, tighter, and just damn good.

To be fair, a lot of us white guys don't recognize the name immediately, but I remember Tony! Toni! Tone!

No dude....I listen to a lot of old music...I'm way out of touch with new stuff or producers, especially hip hop or pop music..I couldn't tell you one song by Katie Perry or Justin Beiber...but..I'm going to see Earth Wind and Fire at the Hult Center next month with my son!

Saadiq was born in the 60's. He's older than you think. :D Still after your prime time for discovering music, but not as much as KP or JB.

I'm not a rap fan, but I can appreciate when someone is pretty good at it. As long as he keeps away from the fucking autotuner it'll be cool with me.

Wow, that's disappointing. I was hoping for Coors Light-fueled fire-and-brimstone rant about using Raymond Felton's severed head to smash turntables.

I hate it when you show personal growth.

I know the name. I believe he is in the first episode of Luke Cage. I was like, who is this band?

    I plead ignorance here.

Agreed. Him and Brian Grant are good friends, saw him perform while volunteering.

Exactly this. That's the one thing he could really improve on, and on this song he showed he's more than capable. Plus, it's a lot nicer with a chorus, which he doesn't have in a lot of his songs. Makes the song sound more organized and clean.
