This is dope. Like actually good. Better than any of his other songs. And Saadiq on the production? this is bigtime.
Saadiq got him to stay on the beat; Dame's flow is great, but he can drift quite a bit tempo-wise. This is sharper, tighter, and just damn good.

Saadiq was born in the 60's. He's older than you think. Still after your prime time for discovering music, but not as much as KP or JB.

Exactly this. That's the one thing he could really improve on, and on this song he showed he's more than capable. Plus, it's a lot nicer with a chorus, which he doesn't have in a lot of his songs. Makes the song sound more organized and clean.
