    When I've run into HCP at games he keeps trying to take me to see some trailer in the parking lot. It's creepy.

    First rule of fight club...no one talks about fight club.....as to the riverman....HCP can talk smack to me because I know it's done in character....see..there's HCP and there's Big John....Big John is a cool dude.....HCP is his nemesis.......I like good comedy about as much as anything.     Please don't fault me for standing up for you and your Mrs.. If you're ok with people making jokes about your wife, then so be it. Me personally- no one makes fun of my family. Not even my best, closest friends. I have a problem with that. That's your call though....

    All I was doing here, was supporting Obrien, what he said; and ultimately, all the new posters. Again, I ask you- just cut the new people some slack. You know- like people under 10 posts....

    Can we merge all these to the "Kids like HCP stole my milk money in elementary school, and that is the real reason HCP hurts my feelings" thread. For fucks sake, the guy is hilarious and once the newbs stick around long enough and actually kick some blazer knowledge, he eventually gives respect and softens his stance. If your not a complete tool that is. It's actually quite amusing watching him razz the new guys and see how they take it. He's like the big slow farm truck on street outlaws. Gotta beat his old slow ass to get on the list. Keep it up HCP, if you leave so does sweet ass Mrs. HCP, and nobody here wants that!

    If someone were to tell me I'm being an ass, I would at the LEAST take a look at myself and the situation, not just continue being a jackass....but I guess when your a jackass, you know nothing different and that's why they wont or don't change...

    HCP will never get it. He is stunting the growth of this site with how he treats people who don't know who he even is. This is a community of fans of the Blazers, not a place to pick on those of us who are looking for this type of thing so we can discuss with others our fandom.
    No worries.
    There are many hills with great views. I don't need to sit on this one and have a Blazer affiliate constantly try to degrade me. He is shortsighted and doesn't remember how he treated me when he first came back form vacation and nothing has changed since. The dude has self esteem issues or something if he needs to create split personalities and be nice in person but an ass online. I don't get it. And I don't care to read it. It's sad really, but the typical bully always thinks he is cool and will never change... so I move on....and take the high road.
    I'm sure Denny must be happy though. ;)

    Regarding this, there's a difference between respecting someone's knowledge or ability, and the respect afforded to people simply based on their humanity. Nobody expects you to respect the newbs' basketball knowledge until they demonstrate some that is comparable to yours (fortunately, that isn't difficult), but there's no reason not to treat them at least as well as you would treat in line with you at Starbucks. I mean, would you ever tell someone, "Hey rook--you can't order that half-caf, no-foam vanilla latte until you've filled up at least three punch cards, bitch!! Black coffee only for newbs like you!!"

    I've been here a year and a half, which I know isn't to horribly long, but in that year and a half I have been in this forum nearly every day, and I have put in a lot of input, and had a lot of good experiences here. Now, I'm not too worried about @HCP harping on me, as he couldn't knock a Coors light outta @BlazerWookee's hand, and I give it right back to him just as good. But, when is it that I do enough to get respect. I've done more in my four thousand some odd posts then many have done in ten thousand. Again I don't take anything he says seriously, but he is actually running prospective members off with less consitution, and pissing other members off that I have respect for like @Orion Bailey and @Dougnsalem. That's where I draw the line.


    Bullying is fucked up regardless of form, and to pay someone to bully people is even more so. Not something to laugh about. I've got mad respect for @Denny Crane and even @HCP regardless of what he has said to me. Just the way I am.

    The part that gets people is not even the "Schtick" itself, but the fact that he refuses to apologize. He is about as apologetic as Donald Trump. If I ever posted something and it offended someone and they replied hey man that offended me, I would apologize....not stick with "schtick" and be like I'm to cool, your a bunch of losers, go cry to your mommy wawa...thats in fact the opposite of cool. Like I said I respect @HCP's behind the scenes knowledge, his connections to the team I love, hell he seems like a good guy in person, but I don't respect his action of blowing people off who he offends instead of simply saying my bad man.
