I preferred the lovely Loretta, the ultimate dumb blonde. I can't date dumb chicks in real life, but found her cluelessness and vapid expressions a hilarious counterpart to Diane's intellectualism. BNM
Last year's preseason records? Warriors : 3-4 Cavs : 1-6 Spurs: 2-4 Clippers : 3-3 Blazers 3-4 Yeah...we definitely need more of these meltdown threads.
Why is everyone pointing to record? I don't think anyone, including those "melting down", cares whether we're winning in the preseason. All the comments of concern are in regard to how our rotation players are performing, both individually and collectively. Can we at least keep our the criticisms of other posters' concerns on point?
This might come as a surprise to you, but there is a correlation (maybe even causation, imagine that!!!) between how well the players are playing both individually and collectively and team record. It didn't matter for the teams last preseason and it probably won't this year as well. Lineups are changing, players are getting used to each other, they have a new offensive set, etc, etc.
Yes sir! My fav episode!1 I just love it when Cliff thinks he is unjustly getting shocked and hobbles his way over to the guy shocking him, grabs the shocker devise, points it at the guy he had keeping him in check and then proceeds to shock himself thinking he is shocking the guy he brought with him. I don't know why, but it has always vividly stuck with me and I laugh every time I think about it. Cliff was sooo pissed and sooo sure of himself when he hit the button and proceeded to shock himself even more. Think i'm gonna have a Cheers marathon this weekend if its raining. lol
I agree that it's way too early to be overly concerned. However, I'm not liking some of the things I'm seeing in the preseason either. Defense can look very good at times, but it can also look downright terrible too. Unless Stotts changes his P&R philosophy, it will be another year of uncontested mid range shots and alley oops at the rim for the opponents. Evan Turner meshing is such a critical component. If he does, the Blazers have very little let down when the second unit comes in. Time will tell.
Aminu/Crabbe/Napier/Plums for DMC. Dame/CJ/Quarterman CJ/Turner/Patty? Harkless/Turner/Laymen DMC/Davis/Vonleh Leonard/Ezeli/Davis Not bad no? I'm missing a few I know. I think DMC and Leonard would work well together. it would really mess teams up. What is the center doing on the 3 point line and the PF under the basket?
We are. We have given our very logical answers to it. It's preseason: a chance for the coach to put players in rotations and positions to see where they flourish best. It's called logic. You're the ones ignoring all that. Not our fault you can't seem to get that very basic answer -- one that is the correct answer in this instance.
Wow--that is a surprisingly arrogant and condescending post from you. Honestly, I expect better from you. Also, your condescension is misdirected. Can you find a post of mine in which I'm guilty of that which you disdain? I don't think so. All I said was that those with whom you disagree also don't care about the results of the games, so it is silly to argue against the record's significance. We're all agreed on that point. Whether or not any useful information about the team can be gleaned from the pre-season at all is a different topic altogether, and it is illogical to conflate the two.
Fantastic post man! I see you are new here. Well let me throw out the Welcome Mat! Glad you are here and look forward to reading more of your posts!
Grow up man, it's all about excepting people for who they are as Blazer fans. It doesn't matter if people have been here 10 years or 10 days. We are all one family, that's all that matters.
