makes sense. He makes half of what Grant & Greg would have made. Also with the improvements seen with Noah, an extra big is less of a need.
Wow. Dont really think this guy is good. He beat out Montero too...... what does that say about Montero?
No, although many had high hopes for Montero. But i am just surprised it was quarterman. He was the last guy i thought we would keep. I dont really care all that much because he will never play.
He was Robin to Batman (Ben Simmons) at LSU. I watched him play a few times in college and was impressed. Good length out of the PG spot.
Montero might be a rotation player in Miami...he's had a decent summer league there and they've played him
I watched 10 secs of him in I believe the second game and really like him. Another 6'5" ,6'6" ball player with skills and I believe potential
I think Neil wants to find a young tall PG who they can develop into a serviceable backup in a year or two. Montero was a reach last year as he wasn't really a PG. They gave it a shot at multiple positions.....and moved on. Quarterman on the other hand already has PG skills and has range. Seems to me to be a low risk -high reward choice for the 15th man.
Makes sense financially but I really thought Jerrett would get the final spot because of his shooting. Quarterman didn't play enough for me to make any judgements on his game so the end.
