Re: Who's team is this now? Since Iverson's now on this team, who's team should the commentaters say, for ex. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers....Who should they say for the nuggets, I think it should be iverson now since he's had more experiance
Re: Who's team is this now? No... it is Carmelo Anthony's team. He is going to be here longer, and they are trying to build the team around him, not AI. They brought AI to Denver to be the second-option to Anthony, and Iverson has even said it is Carmelo's team and he is only here in a supporting role, not as the starring attraction.

It's AI/Melo team it's both there team not one.AI been in the league for far to long, and has to much left in him to just be called a 2nd fiddle. And Melo is the future of that team, and has been there for a few years and will be there after AI is done so you can't say he is 2nd fiddle at how he plays. Everyone needs to stop the bs it is clearly both there teams you can't say it is one guys team over the other that be wrong.
Re: Who's team is this now? No it's Melo's team man. AI even said he will let Melo be the main man and take the role as the second option. This was Melo's team before AI came, they are bulding around Melo, and Melo will be the guy they have take the shots when the game is on the line so I don't see how it isn't Melo's team.

AI said it is Melo's, but it's both there teams both actually said I think they can both lead help each other out. And right now your wrong they are building around both of them to win now then when AI is done they will just build around Melo. And here your WAY of when the game is on the line the guys who has less people on him or on fire will take the shots. Melo will not take the shot if he has 2 guys on him and AI has one. Same thing goes for AI if he get's doubled and Melo is one on one Melo will take the shot. Or if one of them is hot they will take the shot probably no matter what.NO WAY the coach will let Melo take all the game line shots even if AI does not care about Melo taking the game winning shots the coach is not stupid to have the teams no who will take the shots. Every time game is on the line you will have a diff guy taking the game winning shots. That be stupid just to have AI take all or Melo take all. This is what some don't get. There is not point for this thread cause it's both there teams. AI is a vetran he has more expierence so even though AI said Melo is the leader he is, but AI also knows he is just as much of a leader cause he is the guy who will be explaing plays to guys if they don't understand something that the coach calls. AI will help Melo in the playoffs cause AI has been there. And then Melo+AI will go to the younger guys to help make sure they understand what is going on.I saw AI+Melo talking a lot on the side lines. You got Melo then talking to other guys. But you also have AI coming up to Camby, Blake, Diawara, Nene, ect just making sure they got it all.
Re: Who's team is this now? Just because Iverson is a veteran and he got traded to a young team doesn't mean its his team. This is definently Melo's team and all the players, including Iverson, rely on him to produce every game. Iverson is now a robin to a batman.
Re: Who's team is this now? Its Melo's team with AI as a close peronal advisor. AI is ready to take over when Melo is out or can do something because of his inexpirience.
Re: Who's team is this now? It's Melo's team. He has been there much longer, has helped them in different situations. AI just got there, he can't take the team be his own just like that. Thats like saying: Iverson gets traded to the Cavs, and it becomes his team because of expierence.
Re: Who's team is this now? No question on this. 'Melo's team. He is the future of this team, their franchise player, AI is just there too make it happen sooner rather than later.
Re: Who's team is this now? No doubt in my mind it is Carmelo Anthony, he is a young player who the franchise is building their team around and so far it has worked out well for them. Iverson might have more experience but he said when he got over here that he just wanted to win and he didn't care about his stats as much anymore, and even quoted saying that he wanted Carmelo to win the NBA title. This leads me to believe that Iverson is handing the crown over to Melo.
Re: Who's team is this now? The team is obviously Carmelo's. He has been with them since his rookie season, and he is the best player and somewhat a leader on this team. Even though Iverson has a lot of experience, and is a very respected player in the league, you can't expect people to just say that its "Iverson's team" after coming in the middle of the season. Carmelo has been there longer, and he is the 1st scoring option on the team, and he is their leader as of right now, so it is Carmelo's team.

It is BOTH and if you don't think that is really the case you don't know how much vetran like AI means there don't matter that Melo has been there. I am not saying it is AI's team either. I am saying both there is no this is so and so team. And AI is and Melo are both batman none of them are really 2nd option even though fans, and media decide to start stuff with who's team it is. They both know it's both there teams.[quote name='TheAnalyst' post='276204' date='Jan 30 2007, 12:13 PM']Its Melo's team with AI as a close peronal advisor. Were Melo pretty much is helping out the younger guys.[quote name='Madness' post='276479' date='Jan 30 2007, 05:05 PM']It's Melo's team. Again that be both there teams.I have no idea why you all gotta start who team it is bs when clearly they both are the leaders it's no ones team over another they are both the leaders =.[quote name='moses2121' post='276913' date='Jan 30 2007, 11:43 PM']No doubt in my mind it is Carmelo Anthony, he is a young player who the franchise is building their team around and so far it has worked out well for them. And yes he wants to win he does not mind not socring as much he was saying. He said he wanted Melo to win the scoring title that is all true I am sure. My point is that is the scoring title it's still BOTH there teams. AI does not care about scoring title, but it is still both there teams. Why are people so blind? They both know that they are both the leader of that team no one is bigger then the other that is why they don't have a problem. It does not have to be any one of there teams. It is both they both are the leaders of that team =. And when shot for game winners come down it won't go to one guys that be stupid the coach knows that. He will say who ever can get the better shot of take it. And I would not be surprised if coach actually have them pass it of to say JR Smith, or Blake, or Camby for the shot once all the eyes are on Melo+AI those guys will be open a lot of the times on those less second shots.
Re: Who's team is this now? Watch the games and you'll clearly see AI is deferring to Carmelo. There are so many times where Iverson dribbles the ball up court, has a one-on-one opportunity to score, yet he'll pull it out and wait for Carmelo to post up and give him the ball. In Philly AI would have just taken the one-on-one opportunity. AI knows it's not his team, and he's just there to help Carmelo both on and off the court. They are both talented enough though that if one is having an off-night the other is capable of carrying the team. They've looked good so far together, but the only thing that seems to be keeping them from winning is their lack of consistency on the defensive end.

And yes I see Melo post up AI giving him the ball not my point. And in Philly he did not have anyone really wanting to shoot except Korver that's why. And AI knows they need more of a leader the young guys, and even Melo in SOME cases. AI knows he is a leader just as much as Melo. They both agreed to do w/e to win not sure why this is coming up. When clearly they both are leaders. I remember when Melo came back both of them talked to younger guys like they were explaing stuff. And you also had AI talk to Melo like he was explaing.I think it's like this AI helps Melo, and Melo helps the younger guys. And then if the younger guys don't get it, or something AI helps them out.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Iverson3 @ Jan 31 2007, 01:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Im gonna be honest.
