This should be a good test for the blue shirts tonight. Defense has tightened up a bit which is needed against this Caps team. Hopefully the Rangers get back to finishing their scoring chances.
Side note...randomly ran into dancing Larry today. Really nice guy. Got to chat with him for a bit about the Rangers. Very optimistic for them this year, feels the same way most of the posters do about McIlrath needing to play more often. If you ever get a chance to talk with him he is a very friendly guy!

Dmac should be playing instead of Clendening. Seriously, wtf is AVs obsession with him.. Atleast his other obsession (Glass) would scrap if he had to

Dmac should be playing over garbage like Holden.

LOL...AV has holden on top pair. This coach is something else with the scrubs.

Can you explain what you've seen out of Holden that makes him a scrub? I see a guy playing his off side on a top pair and holding his own. Great gap control and switches on D correctly. Puck handling is not great partly because he's playing his off side but his decision making has been good. He's not great but I don't see how he's a scrub.

Skjei and Clendening are a disaster tonight. That pair needs to be separated.

Not a great period. We've gotten some pucks on net but as we've all said the Caps are just a better team than us right now.

Not enough fluidity on the pp. People standing too much. I agree on Skjei not looking good tonight.

All of sudden the whole team has grown stone hands. Stepan in his usual lazy, fat cat form early on. Ricky forgot how to finish since the beginning of last season but he gets rewarded with an A.

Starting to see when no team wanted Clendening. Fact he's playing over McIlrath once again shows our coach is partially a moron.

Vesey is the real deal. What a move and play on that 2nd goal

Vesey is a good addition. He is also a smart player that this team needs more of. Holden sucks so much that it makes me miss Yandle...LOL How he is playing over Dylan is unexplainable.

The defense is quite soft. But you knew that.

Good win coming from behind on the road after looked like they were going to lose after first period.

Great win tonight!! Team has a ton of speed again. Hank stood on his head and needed to as defense was pretty shaky especially holden with the giveaways and caps just skating by him.

Terrific win. Did not see a W after that first period.

BTW, Holden is AHL material.........long term.

Great road win against one of the league's best teams. As Joe mentioned at the end the Rangers could very well be 5-0 on the season as they lost two games they mostly dominated. McDonagh was a monster tonight.

Didn't see the whole game. Good win I though staying in to watch them would be a waste of a Saturday night, especially after a 0-2 1st period. Good win I'll watch the replay

Great win on the road against a very good team. Even more important is overcoming a brutal first period to keep playing our game and turn it around. Love what I'm seeing out of the forwards so far this year. Vesey and ZBad are both proving to be huge additions.

On the negative Clendening had one of the worst games I think I've ever seen out of a ranger defenseman. The O he's supposed to bring to compensate has been nonexistent.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what makes Holden a "scrub" or "AHL material" other than he plays over fan favorite McIlrath. He's not great but I think he's been decent going against top forward on his off side. Would appreciate some chatter on this.
