<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>LOS ANGELES -- Just when the Los Angeles Lakers get an injured starter back, another goes out. Luke Walton, who likely will miss at least a week with a sprained right ankle, said Sunday it had improved significantly."Today's the first day I can put pressure on it," Walton said before the Lakers played the San Antonio Spurs. "I'm happy to be walking right now. I don't know when I'll be able to run and jump."Walton was hurt in the third quarter of Friday night's 106-97 overtime loss to Charlotte, Lamar Odom's first game back after missing 21 games with a sprained right knee ligament.Walton landed awkwardly on somebody's else's foot while going for a rebound."When I jumped, I was off-balance," he said. "When I hit a foot, I just went down."Then, with a smile, he added: "I jumped way too high."He left the Staples Center on crutches Friday and still had them Sunday."I'm giving them back today -- I hope so," he said.Walton, averaging 11.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists, had started each of the Lakers' 43 games before Sunday.Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he couldn't guess when Walton will return."It's stiff and sore with no swelling," Jackson said. "It could be a week."The Lakers open an eight-game road trip Tuesday in New York -- the first of four games in five days. So Walton could miss at least five games, including Sunday's contest.Kwame Brown, who hasn't played since spraining his left ankle Dec. 31, hopes to return sometime during the road trip. He's averaging 8.7 points and 6.6 rebounds.</div>SourceWell, this sucks. If he would be able to put up numbers like he was at his best, then he'll be missed very much. Damn these injuries! Even if it's just a week.

The Lakers will be fine I mean they already have the 4th best record in the league and they did that with Lamar Odom out who is much better than Luke Walton. They have Odom back now and Bynum is starting to play really well they will be fine.
