Yes I watched the game, which is why I called out Klein for getting beat on both goals and also called out the Girardi-Holden pairing for being pinned in our zone for a full minute at the end, preventing us from pulling Hank until there were only 50 seconds left. All 3 had a very bad game, not sure why only one deserves a call out.

I don't know what they're going to do about Girardi, and Klein just isn't the same anymore.

Klein's past injuries could be having an affect but saying that he tends to have stronger second halves of the season. Tonight was pretty bad for him though.

I think that's a little excessive on Klein. The year is still very young and he missed two weeks. Awful game by him but he doesn't worry me that much. G on the other hand hasn't shown much improvement from last year's disaster, which is concerning. He had a long offseason to heal up and train, it's clearly benefitted Staal but not him. We'll see if he can get it together.

That's all for me, later all

Yeah you wouldn't think Klein would just drop off that quickly so hopefully it's just rustiness and he rounds into form. Girardi has not improved much and i don't even think Staal has been all that good.

I think the Rangers will eventually make a deal. They have too many forwards and some which are too similar. Klein had a bad game but what I like about him is that he tends to contribute to the offense and that's something they need on their defense.

Love Skinner not getting hit once, Klein and Girardi sucking while McIlrath is waived then rots in the minors. Good times.

Our defense will always be soft as a babies ass under this coach. And not advocating a bunch of fighters just a d-man or two who will make a hard check that can knock forwards off puck as opposed to rubbing up against them and not getting the puck out of our end.

The Rangers have outplayed opponents in seven out of eight games. Just a reminder before we fall into hysteria over last night.

Yes, they have outplayed their opponents for the most part. It's also early and does not mean that they don't have weaknesses on d. Guys like Skinner will expose them all season if the defensive core is not upgraded and make it more tougher to play against. Haven't seen Holden throw a bodycheck all season.

The Rangers have played well overall. They were due for a down performance, and in the home opener for the Canes not shocked last night was that down game.

Who is your favorite team Step? You question the Rangers who have played well thus far, so I am curious who your favorite team is. Are they playing better than the Rangers so far? Haven't seen you mention which team you root for.
