...if anyone thinks this latest FBI faux pas was not intentionally done for political reasons, think again; http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/30/politics/clinton-emails-fbi-abedin/index.html ...Comey has gotta go...he may also have broken the law.
The problem is that Harry Reid is a hack and an idiot. If he actually bothered to read the Hatch Act he would know that employees appointed by the President are exempt. Therefore like much of what Reid says it's complete nonsense.
...huh?...that's not how I read it...and that's not how many others read it; "The Hatch Act prohibits FBI officials from using their official authority to influence an election. Reid said that by releasing this information, which he says is not conclusive or pertinent, Comey may have broken the law. Reid referenced a memo from Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates from March of this year that establishes all Justice Department employees, including Comey, are subject to the Hatch Act." http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/30/politics/harry-reid-letter-hatch-act/ ...regardless, there's no way to get around the fact that Comey has botched the Clinton investigation since the very beginning...he's gotta go.
It wasn't botched. It was never real to begin with. Do you think Loretta Lynch met privately on a plane with Bill Clinton at the start of the summer to discuss their summer plans? The end result was always going to be the same regardless of what was found or what Hillary did or didn't do. That's why intent became the key component when in fact that has nothing to do with how classified information is to be handled. Even if Comey recommended charges everyone knows Lynch would've refused advance the case. Botched would mean they were incompetent and didn't know what they were doing. In this case they knew exactly what they were doing and that was protecting Clinton. Even after we know she continuously lied every step of the way. That she never deleted work related emails was a lie. That she never sent or received classified information was a lie. That she answered all questions was another lie after we found out she used the I don't recall or don't remember line over 20 times in her interview with the FBI. It all was a well choreographed performance much like the WWE except in this case we've seen more behind the scenes than was ever intended. Even still it happened right under our noses and we go about our lives and accept it.
...Comey botched it...he's the head of the FBI is therefore accountable so yes, he's evidently either incompetent, or is being paid off, or is being instructed to do what he's doing...irregardless, he has zero credibility and should either be fired or resign. ...can you account for him knowing about these latest "emails" for weeks?...and why he's waited till 10 days before the election to disclose them and after being strongly advised not to do so?...and no, waiting on a warrant doesn't wash. He overstepped his bounds by circumventing DOJ procedure by publicly commenting on ongoing investigations...relooking at the investigation is one thing but to go public with it before anything one way or another has been established is irresponsible...and he may or may not be guilty of a crime himself. Hell, Clinton has even asked the FBI to go ahead and release everything they have but they won't do it....am I sticking up for Clinton?...hell no, am I voting for Clinton?...hell no.....but that's not the point here. ...she's going to be elected anyway....the point is the DOJ and the FBI and perhaps even Obama have made a farce of this whole thing.
Again, botched is something done out of incompetence or continuous mistakes along the way. This was never going anywhere from the start. The FBI is part of the Department of Justice. The Attorney General is Loretta Lynch who was appointed by Obama. Earlier in her career she was appointed by Bill Clinton to serve as US Attorney. It's really not very difficult to put this one together. I get that people wanted Hillary charged and the evidence surely seemed to point that way but it was never going to happen. The only way was if Obama had a personal vendetta against Hillary and directed things to escalate to that regard. You certainly can't expect that to happen not only because of the political fallout but because you can be certain Clinton has dirt on Obama because slime like Hillary is certain to have insurance policies. As for releasing what they have Clinton knows the FBI isn't going to do that so it's just a stunt. Furthermore, if you really don't think she already knows she would know exactly what they have just by asking Huma. She most likely has asked her what exactly is or could possibly be on that computer. It certainly has been a farce and I think everyone you mentioned has had a hand in it. I hate how Comey handled things because before all of this he was referred to by just about everyone as being a straight shooter. What he ended up doing was leaving his agents twisting in the wind and if you believe the reports he currently has a stack of resignations on his desk from a group of men and women who thought they weren't going to be sold out or succumb to political pressure. The July press conference was a complete joke. He laid out the case against Hillary clearly and then invented an excuse of why he wouldn't recommend charges. Something that really wasn't his place to begin with so you do have to ask yourself why he would fall on his sword like that. The FBI's job is to bring cases to the prosecutor or in this case the AG and they decide whether or not there's enough evidence to move forward. You don't gather evidence, lay the case out and then decide well we're not going to allow it to move forward because no prosecutor would move forward with the case. How would he know unless that was always going to be the case to begin with. Why insist on focusing on intent when it has nothing to do with the law Hillary would be accused to violating? Not to mention if intent was the road they wanted to do down the first time Hillary lied that would be enough to establish intent anyway. As for the letter to Congress it really doesn't matter if he sent it seven days ago or three days ago. I have two theories on why he did it. The less likely is that he and his agents have more than they're letting on about what they found on Huma's laptop. The second theory is that in what will still likely be a GOP controlled Congress after the election he didn't want to sit in front of a Congressional Committee again and explain why he didn't inform them of the new information and that the FBI was again investigating. Either way it's still important to point out that this entire mess was the result of Hillary's actions and her complete disregard for national security. In actuality a self imposed wall of protection for her to conduct her Clinton Foundation activities while Secretary of State.
^^^Mess, we discussed months ago the likelihood of Clinton being absolved of wrongdoing and the likelihood of being the scenes meddling in the FBI investigation from other departments and offices...so we should not be surprised when it turned out like we thought it would. ...but Comey used very poor judgment IMO, and even most Republican leaders agree...and whether or not it was a partisan move or not, he's out on a limb by himself now and in a no win situation and will surely be dismissed or resign after this latest investigation is over. ...and IF he was persuaded/ordered by Obama or anyone else to cover things up or to give Clinton the benefit of the doubt, he's just as complicit as they are and if he were such a straight shooter he should have quietly resigned at that time. If you were instructed by your boss to do something that you knew was illegal and/or immoral in order to save your job, would you do it.?...from what little I know about you, I would wager that you would not.
Comey's latest move in my opinion is likely fueled by what's going on inside of the FBI. I think he's a hated man and I can't imagine many agents respect him anymore. His comments in July and even his comments to Congress made no sense. He lays out a case and then acts like a clown in explaining why the case wouldn't move forward. We have prints on the murder weapon but you know what there's just not enough evidence to move forward. Comey is finished now anyway. If I was him I certainly would've suggested charges and let the chips fall where they may. He then keeps his integrity and frankly goes on and makes more money as an attorney in the private sector.
...yup, now if he had only refused to knuckle under from pressure from Obama or whoever before his initial investigation was completed and then simply resigned, he could have after a month or so gone public with the reasons why he quit and fingered whoever pressured him, he'd be seen as a hero and someone who could be trusted....and who knows, being a Republican himself, 4 years from now he might be tabbed as a POTUS candidate. ...but that ship has sailed...and it does not appear that we'll ever know the whole truth...while we were sleeping, we have once again been scammed by our own government...and they're probably laughing with devilish delight.
...fwiw, I think that the FBI and Comey won't find anything to change what he said in July...I think that maybe when this new batch of emails surfaced Comey was concerned that if he did nothing and it was leaked to the press it would give the impression that there was some sort of cover up. ...I also believe that since the FBI is now accelerating the inspection of these emails, it may be announced just before the election that nothing incriminating was found...Clinton will get yet another boost among voters and she will win in a landslide...which IMO, is actually the best thing that could happen to the GOP looking down the the road to 2020.
I am so fed up with this election bullshit, but I'll be damned nobody's attempt will prevent me from making my vote...........Shame on all of these assholes whom I have no respect whatsoever.
...as if I need more proof. http://www.newsweek.com/fbi-releasing-documents-clinton-marc-rich-515921 https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...466908-a068-11e6-8832-23a007c77bb4_story.html
In my own eyes, the Peter Principle is real, as is obvious in Comey, Obuma, hell who isn't incompetent in Politics these days....??? Keep in mind one major thing Meyer's-Briggs points out is: "One's perception of themselves, often differs from another's perception". In my eye's Comey is/was incompetent before he even took the job to being with, just my 2 centavos--
...^^^ speaking of being incompetent, here's the thing with Clinton in a nutshell...she's possibly the most investigated politician ever yet they have yet to nail here with anything...this tells me one of two things; 1. There's nothing to charge her with. 2. The Republicans are completely incompetent.
Gary HostetlerFollow October 28 at 9:59am · I asked a young Lady at a game, how she could vote for Trump, a “misogynist, a racist and a bigot”. Here is her answer: Because I use my head to research and find out what candidates really are, not what the media wants me to think. Because Donald Trump has more women in executive and managerial positions than any comparable company, which tells me he is not a misogynist. Because he pays these women the same or more than their male counterparts, which tells me looks for capacity and skills in people, not color, gender or race. Because he fought the West Palm Beach City Council to be able to open his newly purchased club, so he could include blacks and Jews as members, who had been banned until then. This tells me he is not a racist. Because he has raised wonderful children who have turned out to be outstanding, hard-working and compassionate adults. He must be doing something right. Because his economic plans makes sense, are conservative in nature, and I vote based of what is best for my family, my friends and my country. Because everybody, the left and the right are afraid of him, the media is trying to destroy his image, and even foreign governments are voicing their opinions, so he must be doing something right. Clean house maybe? Because I want a Supreme Court that will uphold the Constitution, not behave as minions of the administration. I have had enough with judges who are more like political activists than law enforcers. Because I fear for my family’s safety if the current trend of not confronting blatant terrorism continues – which is a threat to our way of life. Because I am fed up with the rampant corruption of this administration. Accountability in government is paramount, and as this administration has demonstrated, it is a foreign concept to them. Because I am fed up with the political correctness gone wild, and because Trump is not afraid to say what everybody thinks but does not dare to say. A thug is a thug, regardless of color, and that's it. Because it is about time someone puts America's interests ahead of other countries. Because I know he recognizes and embraces America's exceptionalism, and will not tour the World apologizing for who we are. That tells me he is a patriot. Because, unlike HRC, he has actually held a job, worked hard and achieved success. And last, but not least, because I am more offended by what Hillary does than by what Trump says.
...lol...more likely a forwarded email link...wanting Trump to beat Hillary is one thing...but that ^^^ is a complete fabrication...much like what most of what Trump says. ...the reason I know this is that someone sent me essentially the same thing in an email message recently.
