This would really not work our for Eddie Jones either way he isn't gonna play much in Miami just like in Memphis.
Yeah, but Eddie just wants to win another ring before he retires, and he will have a chance in Miami probably.
Unless he stays around till next season he isn't going to win a ring this year, the Heat have too many problems on their team.

Shaq is almost done as far as I'm concerned, he can barley sustain playing 25 minutes a night of mediocre basketball. He should go to a Dallas, Cleveland, Phoenix if he wants any chance to win a ring.
I don't really think the Heat will win another title. The team is getting old. And shaq is slowing down. He won't be as dominant as he used to, but will still bring the Heat to the playoff. If Jones wants a title he should go to at least Suns, Mavs.
This really wouldnt work out for Miami or Eddie IMO. I think the heat have enough old and single minded role players on this team. If they are looking to get better, they need to wait until this year is up so they can get some fresh and young talent. The Heat arent going to win a title this year with the way they are playing right now, and more importantly, the way Dallas and Phoenix are playing right now. They are just too good.
He fit great with Miami 2 years ago. Why not now? He isn't expected to score a lot. Just hit open 3's and play some defense.
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/444...ign_with_miami/It's official, Eddie Jones is going to be signing with Miami. Jones is a decent defender, good shooter, veteran leader, he's been on plenty of winning teams. He should give the Heat a solid scoring presence off the bench.
Eddie Jones to me is one his last legs and I don't see impacting this team much. He might provide minutes here and there for the rest of the season but I don't expect much.
The Heat already have a smilar player in Jason Kapono, but I guess you can always use another guy who can hit a three off of double teams. He is pretty washed up, but Miami is a good fit for him.
^ Eddie's a much better defender than Kapono at least. We're not expecting much out of him. It's a good signing though because he's familar with Pat and the team and it's just an extra good guy to have around in the lockerroom as well as on the court. I think he could even get decent minutes backing Wade. We're playing like crap as it is, this can only help us if anything so I can't see how anyone could consider this a bad signing.
I recall saying he would go to the Heat in the FA THread we had a month or so ago and everyone laughing at me...interesting.Jones will be a good fit for the Heat, going back to the Heat where he was a leading scorer for the Heat a few seasons ago. Jones will be a good outside threat as well as a lock down defender. Glad to see one of my favorite players will probably sign with my favorite team :yahoo:
