I'm gonna try to get Emeka to replace Kendrick. Then trade away Ratliff.</div> You'd rather have a star SF than a star center? I'm so happy you aren't our GM, that's all I have to say. But that sim league roster is not good lol, if course not, it's the Celtics haha.
^^Exactly. As good as a front line as Pierce, Durant and Jefferson could be, this team needs to look more toward the direction of interior defense, as this team has plenty of guys that can score (Pierce, Al, Gerald, Delonte, Wally, Tony). Oden will be a first team all-defensive player in his career, I'm almost certain of that. Oden's offensive game could even be considered a bonus for us. Like CB32 has said, I'd be happy with Noah if we don't get a top pick. He plays defense, thats what this team needs.
The Celtics next win is going to be whenever Paul Pierce steps on the court at a home game. I think the fans would go nuts to see their star player back in action, the other players would feed off of it, and everyone would play a great game. I just honestly cant see the Celtics winning a game right now. They cant play good for all 48 minutes. They will play good in stretches, but then defensivley, they just fall apart. Without Paul, I think the only teams that they can beat right now are Philly and maybe New York. Thats about it....
O, and if the Celtics had the #1 pick and they didnt get Oden, the GM would be fired. You dont just pass up on a guy like Greg Oden, especially when your starting center is Kendrick Perkins. Not to bash on Perk or anything, but he was getting pushed around by Brendan Haywood the other day on the glass, and he cant score on the offensive end worth sh*t. He has like 1 post move, he is an average rebounder at best, and his only decent attribute is his shot blocking. If the Celtis got the #1 pick, they would be crazy NOT to pick Oden. In any other draft, Durant goes #1, just not in this one.
Durant is an excellent player and will be great but there are so few dominant centers around that you need to take one whenever he becomes available. I'll be happy either way but if the Celts get the #1 pick Oden is a no-brainer.
Celtics currently are experiencin g what Knick fans experienced last year , t;s horrible. But team is progressing, just matter of time

Last year, the Knicks had a lost season due to players acting like selfish egomaniacs, they didn't listen to a great coach, and none of them adjusted their game for the good of the team. We are going through something much, much different. We are plagued with injuries, and as of right now we are watching our young talent get developmental minutes. These guys in Boston WANT to win and they want to listen to the coaches. In New York... complete opposite, and what makes it worse is that they are all veterans.
I see it being against Indiana, Minnesota, or Milwaukee. Possibly the Clippers. I don't think there is any chance you go into the ASB with a 20 game losing streak. You're due for a win sooner or later.

Some people are saying that we won't win until Pierce comes back, well, it will happen. I want a win soon too, this is just embarrassing, and these kids deserve it due to how hard they have been playing.

Have you seen Durant play? He can score from the outside, he is pretty good downlow and is a force on defense. I know the lineup isn't that great, but have Gerald Green as a 6th man and Perkins come in when Jefferson is on foul trouble, I think it's pretty good IMO.

This team has been playing tough, they just need Paul. A win is going to come before the ASB.

We couldn't get a center type player like Yao Ming or Shaq, but I'm pretty sure we could get someone who is good enough to play the 5 spot well.
Dammit after losing 14 straight the C's are going to smash the Pistons and the Heat, the last 2 NBA Champion teams. And hey, we got them in 2 sonsecutive games, go green!
They might have a chance against New Jersey as they are always involved in tight games and can never pull it out but surprisingly the won 87-85 tonight against the Hawks. I still think the Celtics will lose though.
