How many of you Meyers Leonard fans love him because you see the next Joel Przybilla? Don't be shy! Raise your hands and shout Hallelujah!

You could give me a thousand reasons, but outside of trading Dame or CJ, I would happily give up any 5 players on our team for DMC.

McCollum has potential to be a consistent shooter, but so far he's just a top-notch dribbler. As I have posted since his first Summer League game, "He is no Lillard." But 5 of our top 6 players is too expensive. How about 2, plus someone further down the roster.

And for those of you who think he's a bad teammate:
He let Omri Casspi drag him to Israel in the summer...he endured 17 hours flight so he can participate in Omri's stuff at Israel including a meet with a local youth club at 9AM.

Show me when Lamarcus did anything like that, mofo didn't even bother coming back with the rest of the team after a playoff lost.

DeAndre's a whiner partly because of the team he plays for. And I think we need more whiners because we seem to just allow refs to fuck us with no complaint.

He was consistent all of last year when he shot 42% from three, way better efficiency than any of Lillards years.

You have a valid point, after watching our game against the Clippers. I don't enjoy watching players act like that though. I want to see them man up, and earn their millions by playing hard, and being accountable if they foul someone. Not get touched, and then flop.

If they're on our team, or not....

Understand and respect your opinion, but I truly think Doc and CP3 are contaminating influences. Here, Stotts and Dame provide huge positive reinforcement.

You speak as if it's certain, without offering evidence. The field of statistics has ways to measure consistency. Do you have one to show, or is this just your subjective feeling? I know of no site that does this for basketball, but if you have one, I'm interested.

I have no problem with a guy being emotional and passionate. My problem with Cousins is that I have seen him a couple times when he just seems to quit midgame.

Alot of poeple think its because he is on a perenial losing teasm with a shit management. If I had the talents he does and they were being wasted away on a shit team like this, I would throw fits until they trade me too.

Sometimes, when a player has had it, they have had it.

There are also some pics of him sitting next to Dame and small talking. There are also clips and pics of him standing up to the likes of the cp3's of the NBA.

I dont know for sure, but I think he might be the most disgruntled/missunderstood player in the NBA.
I would certainly sit him down and have a few long conversations to see where his head is at prior to going deep into a trade offer though.

Hard to keep playing hard for an organization when you feel like they have already quit on you though

yea when a team sucks that bad, and equally so does the organization, its gotta be a hard thing to deal with. you guys act like you have never had a shit job, or just hated your job no matter how good it might be in other peoples eyes. your surroundings severely effect your performance.

Taking a chance that we can change his habits is no riskier than drafting a top-3 college player, hoping to bring him up to speed in a year.

Sigh... This notion really needs to die.
Complaining gets you nowhere. It only annoys the refs. Newsflash:

Referees don't want ANY conversation about their call.

I've been on the DMC train for a while, but I 100% agree with this and would even take it a step further. I wouldn't include Vonleh in the trade at this point.

I like DMC, but he's not as great as we make him out to be. He's a C with all sorts of offensive skills, but has never cracked 50% FG%. For me, 50% is kind of a threshold for players who are supposedly elite PFs/Cs. In this regard he's a little to LA for my taste. I don't really like advanced stats all that much, as there's too much mud in the water, but his DRTG is only nominally better than Plumlee's. So, it's not like DMC is truly an elite player on either end of the floor. With that said, I do think his efficiency would improve if he were ever on a good team - but to date he's never shown that he can be an efficient player.

For those reasons, and many more, I would only make a limited trade package for him. And as I've said in other threads, I don't think we'd be bidding against very many teams. SAC will have to trade him for a mediocre package or lose him for nothing. I think a mediocre package of Aminu/Meyers/Turner/pick for DMC/Gay would be fair value at this point. Perhaps the Lakers beat that bid with Randle, or BOS beats it with whatever it is they have, but there really aren't many realistic suitors that we need to worry about. I certainly wouldn't increase our bid by decimating our roster for DMC. Not when there's the possibility of getting Noel on the cheap, or just waiting to see how we fare as Vonleh develops and Ezeli gets back on the floor.

So, count me in for DMC - but only at a limited price.
