MVP: Steve Nash. ppg, apg, fg%, 3p% all have risen from last year, he leads the league in eFG%, his defense have improved and he 1 of the best players in clutch situations this year. Suns are on pace for 66 wins and at least for the time being they hold the best record in the NBA. (2nd: Dirk Nowitzki)ROY: Brandon Roy. Is there any other option? (2nd: umm Shelden Williams?)MIP: Carlos Boozer. His numbers are up across the board and he is leading the Jazz to the playoffs. (2nd: Kevin Martin)COY: Jerry Sloan. Nothing against the job Phil Jackson has done but did anyone expect anything like this from Utah? (2nd: Phil Jackson)Sixth Man: Leandro Barbosa. I would have gone with Ben Gordon but with him starting I'm taking him off the list until Skiles returns him to the bench. (2nd: David Lee)DPOY: Marcus Camby (if he stays healthy). To me it is really a toss up where you can name 4 or 5 guys who have a legit case for the award but I will always favor post defense over perimeter D which is why he gets the nod over Bowen. Camby leads the league in rebounds, 3rd in block shots, and 2nd among centers in steals. (2nd: Bruce Bowen)and just because I need to waste a little bit more time1st team All NBAG: Steve Nash, Kobe BryantF: Dirk Nowitzki, Lebron JamesC: Dwight Howard

Why are you guys even predicting this stuff now? Do you understand that all this will change in about probably a month? And with the All Star break coming up and after that, alot of players will blossom into different ones than you see now, and im gauranteeing it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Trail_Blazer @ Jan 25 2007, 05:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Hmm here are my picks:MVP - Give it to Steve Nash... He's a two time defending MVP, and he's playing better THIS year than he has the past two MVP years for christ's sake! He hits KEY jump shots in the most crucial moments of each game... He's shooting 50% from the 3 point line and 90% from the free throw line... He's the league leader in assists and is just a f*cking phenomenal player! If he doesn't win it, give it to Dirk or Kobe this year. Most Improved - Give it to Arenas. He's all over the place, he's been good for a coupla years now.... But he certainly doesn't deserve in defensive awards, or the MVP in my mind... He's having a break-out year, so he wins for this one.ROY - Give it to the man who's letters in his last name = Rookie of the Year, Brandon Roy. I've been really impressed with this kid in Portland, and believe he's got a lot of potential!Defensive Player - I like Bruce Bowen, I like Alonzo Mourning and I like Raja Bell. Dikembe Mutombo's been showing some dominance as of late, which is impressive for a man who's 40 f*cking years old! So any of these guys would be a great choice.Sixth Man - I'm biased for the Suns, so I've gotta go with Leandron Barbosa... Despite his inability to make easy 2 foot layups on a consistant basis at the beginning of this season, he's really stepped it up coming off the bench for the Suns. If he doesn't win it, give it to Ben Gordon, because he's just as good!Coach of the Year - I like Phil Jackson's guidance despite the injuries, etc. I'd pick him, Avery Johnson again or Mike D'Antoni again. I also like Mike Dunleavy in LA, though the Clippers have been WAY under-achieving compared to their great year last year.</div>Nash is around no talent who would any of the suns be without him im not saying they are weak he just makes them hella better he gives them open looks he deserves MVP for the third time

MVP: Steve NashYou saw how he played the past 2 years, where he won both MVP awards, right? Well, he's putting up BETTER numbers this year. He's a point guard and he shoots over 50% from the floor, that's just ridiculously rare. He's by far the best playmaker in the league. He's a leader, he's clutch. Blah blah blah, you all know the deal, he's everything (except a top notch defender), and the Suns are playing outstanding basketball. Most Improved Player of the Year: Kevin MartinThe guy went from being a solid young role player for the Kings last year to becoming their leading scorer in one year's time. He has almost doubled his scoring average, but that's not it... he does it CONSISTENTLY. Night in and night out, this kid has himself a good game. The improvements he has made in one year's time is just awesome.Rookie of the Year: Brandon RoyBrandon "ROY" is definitely the best rookie this season, and I don't think it's really an argument. He's the most NBA-ready rookie, he plays defense, and he has the most complete game (he does everything well). Roy has been my favorite rookie since June, and that won't change. No question he deserves this award, even though he missed a lot of time.Defensive Player of the Year: Bruce BowenHe's a great defender. Can be a little dirty at times, but whatever. He's an unbelievable defensive player, and he can guard 4 positions. The fact that this guy has never won this award is just sickening.Sixth Man of the Year: Leandro BarbosaBarbosa has this locked up. No comparison. He will make a case for Most Improved too.Coach of the Year: Jerry SloanNobody expected Utah to be playing like this at all. A lot of people thought that they'd maybe challenge Denver for the division and they might sneak into the playoffs, but nobody thought they'd be a top seed. Sloan deserves all the credit in the world, overdue credit I might add.

National team.

http://www.nba.com/features/midseason07_mvp.htmlThe navigation bar is on the right.I pretty much agree with all except best acquisitions when Dave McMenamin said that Mikki Moore was the best pickup this year. :wtf1: Insert Webber instead of Moore and all awards are fine with me.

MVP- Steve Nash I mean I gotta give it to him he is leading his team to the best record in the NBA and also he is probabaly having his best overall season of his career.MIP -Caron Butler, Last year this guy was the number 3 scoring option and was really inconsistent with his game but he had something in him this year and he is now the number 2 scoring option and is averaging over 20 points per game and 8 rebounds.ROY - Brandon Roy,Easy pick I mean this guy has really lit it up this year and is really helping out Zach Randolph with the scoring out there in Portland.DPOY - Bruce Bowen-He might not be the most loved player in the NBA but he plays great defense every night on some of the league's best players.Sixth Man - Leandro Barbosa, he is having a breakout year and is averaging 16 points per game off the bench which is more than Raja Bell and Boris Diaw which is pretty impressive. I can't see why everyone keeps saying Ben Gordone he starts now.Coach of the Year - Phil Jackson, Hate to say this but I mean I gotta give it to him the Lakers were never expected to be this good this year but they have really excelled in the season even with a lot of injuries.

MVP- Gilbert Arenas really put the team on his back after the Wizards were 5-9 in the month of November, they have been 21-8 since. Plus unlike Nash, no disrespect to Butler or Jamison, Arenas doesn't have Marion, Stoudemire or those great role players on his team. He has gotta score most of the time for them to win.ROY- Brandon Roy plain and simple majority of the rookies are not looking impressive. Most Improved- Deron Williams after a poor rookie season the guy has jumped his ppg from 10.8 ppg to 17, 4.5 apg to 9.2, shooting the ball better and playing better defense to help the Jazz with this remarkable and shocking winning season.Coach- Mike D'antoni he has put this team together for the past couple of years and has really done a great job through injuries, player struggles, and various rotation decisions. He didn't need to do much with players like Nash and Marion but the rest he has alot to do with.Defensive Player- Shawn Marion when you look at it nobody does a better job right now of playing every aspect of great defense than this guy. Defensive boards, steals, block shots, tight defensive pressure he is the man especially with the falloff of other great defenders.Sixth Man- David Lee I know alot of you would have different opinons that it should be Barbosa but if you look at certain key stats its staggering. He averages a double double off the bench, 30 mpg, and has the highest FG% in the NBA, somebody tell Isiah to start this guy... haha I am a Knicks fan but those stats I think are really more impressive than Barbosa's.BONUS:Comeback Player- Carlos Boozer after his terrible season ending injury last year this guy is in top form and should be highly considered being put on the western conference all-star roster with his 22 pts and 11 rebs per game, being a huge part to the Jazz being on top of their division.
