North Carolina Is Engaging in “Insane” Jim Crow–Style Voter Suppression, Says Federal Judge

Cut jlprk some slack. He's obviously on edge because of the upcoming date with the 106-year-old.

 

I think you've played it out long enough jlprk. Time to have a glass of whiskey or something and relax.

 

Do you (oops, I mean, Does Sly) have any formal education in distinguishing between

1. insults you surmise are intentional (the ones you change)
2. insults you guess aren't intentional (like the one above you didn't change)
3. insults which are intended as flattery (the one you changed)
4. insults which are insincere
5. sincere insults which accuse someone of being insincere
6. insincere insults which accuse someone of being sincere (in this case, dumb as a rock)
7. insults which are insults only because they accuse someone of being insincere
8. insults which are not insults primarily due to accusing someone for being insincere, though they do so (e.g. "I could kick your ass, motherfucker. Oh by the way, you're fibbing.")

 

Says the guy who's dominated the OT board for a couple of weeks with nonstop election threads, but gets insulted if any responses to his own threads are directed against him.

Sly, his comment said my name. Are you going to change my name to yours? Also, I feel insulted by the word "you." Change that, too.

By the way, everybody, no posts have been deleted from this thread. My sole "insult" was insinuating that Blue really knew that the South legislates racism.

 

I am not sure what your problem is.

1.) the forums here in OT are meant for whatever we want.
2.) that means many forum threads can be created for different topics of discussion
3.) forum rules for insulting people still apply.

Just because you don't like the amount of election threads in an off-topic forum area, doesn't give you carte blanche to insult people.

None of the threads I created were personal insults to members of this forum.

 

Can you explain what my insult was? I've explained it about 3 times now, as the choice between assuming you're ignorant of history vs. the assumption that you aren't. You just continue to state that I insulted you. You haven't explained how, or responded to my 2-option analysis.

 

When I typed "you" in the "Can you explain what my insult was?" post right before the "I read it as an insult" post, I was addressing Blue. I understand that with this new confusion over the word, you (Sly) thought I was asking you (Sly) to explain why you (Sly) said I had insulted him (Blue). But in this case, I meant the word "you" to mean "you," not "Sly."

Do not confuse the definition of "you" in that post to be the same as the definition in this post. In this post, since I am addressing you (Sly) the word "you" means "Sly." But in the post to which I referred, "you" meant "Blue."

So what's the answer, Blue?

 

My answer is:
You can insult me all you want. I don't care. But if Sly censors something then he did it for good reason. (as much as I've gone to battle with him on it before.. )

Although at this point, If I were you, I'd just drop it and move on.

 

You continue to claim that I insulted you without being able to explain why it was an insult, while trying to sweep it under the rug. You keep appealing to authority, Sly, to bail you out by defending you. He himself, in his indubitable wisdom, is similarly unable to explain why it was an insult.

Here is the summary so far.
Sly basically says, "I keep repeating that it was my interpretation that you insulted him. I can't explain why or how I determined that."

Blue basically says, "I can't explain why, but I keep saying you insulted me. Ask Sly to explain because he's smarter than me. I think it has something to do with you hinting that I'm not smart, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to explain why I think you insulted me."

Jlprk basically says, "But I said you ARE smart...so smart that you couldn't possibly be dumb enough to mean what you said, so you must be pretending not to know that the South legislates racism."

 

Hey!!!!!!! Where and how did you get 25000 Trophy Points????? Must be one point per insult.......
