<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Jan 30 2007, 05:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Pretty weak suspension but I'm betting the Spurs secretly pushed for it. Just like they did in the semis against the Mavs. They sent out a message to the league to look into the Terry punch(a non issue at the moment) and got him suspended for a game.</div>Terry punched Finley in the balls? Are you even biased enough to complain about that suspension? The more and more that I look at the play, I really dont think it was a complete "accident". I mean, what was the purpose for Kobe throwing his arm out anyways? He shoots the shot and somehow is arm flys over to hit Ginobili in the nose? I honestly dont think it was a complete accident what so ever. Kobe knew what he was doing.....But, even if he did do it on purpose, I dont think that it deserved a suspension. Little things like this happen all the time, and even though I think it happenned on purpose, Kobe should be able to say that it was an accident and that there was no intent on hurting Manu, and that should be enough to not give a suspension...

It looked intentional to me. 1 game isn't all that bad for blatantly hitting someone in the face. Maybe it's questionable, but I don't think Kobe's follow through involves moving his hand violently to the right, hitting Manu Ginobili....</div>It's not intentional, he gets the shot blocked, waves his hands frantically in hopes of getting a foul call and one of his hands hits Manu Ginobli. You're retarded if you think Kobe went out of his way to try and physically harm Ginobli. This is a terrible suspension, and it's cost the Lakers a win at a critical point in the season. F*ck you David Stern.

You got to be kidding me?This is not no Lil 6th grade basketball league, this is the NBA and there is gonna be some hard fouls, and a lot of contact...</div>Manu didnt foul Kobe what so ever. It was obviously a clean block. And why in the hell would Kobes follow through insist of his right arm swinging down towards Ginobili's face?
Well I'm a Spurs fan and I really don't like Kobe at all so it's pretty funny to me but ya it really did look like an accident and it seems like the NBA has been overreacting to some minor things.
This is complete bs he did not do anything to get suspended Stern needs to go I had enough that man has been going to far with a lot of things. Also all you idiots who think Manu floped? Sorry, but are you f****** kidding me the hand was going down by accident what floping when Kobe just really got him by accident.Anyway Kobe should not have been suspended those mother f*ckers should be shamed for suspending Kobe for that crap.
Michael Wilbon just made a good point on PTI, he said 1 game suspentions for things like this should be reserved for when you know there was intent. I completely agree. Like what happened with Kobe, it should just be a fine.
This is a joke.. Manu.. always flops alot and drew this out to the maximum, but owell.. Hopefully someone steps up. for kobe.

I guess you are right that it was not intentional, but then again; it's only 1 game. He hit him square in the face, and I can see where this suspension is coming from.
This is a joke, we can't let this thread be derailed by some pathetic internet thug trying to be ghetto behind his keyboard.I still say that the play was not intentional. I see how it could be perceived as frustration but I think it was mostly just Kobe trying to get a foul call. My dad thinks Kobe was trying to clear Ginobili out of the way for possession. That seems like a legitimate arguement. The number one thing is that it wasn't intended to hurt Manu, which is the only way it would be grounds for a suspension.
