I agree with most of your post....the Navy has tried repeatedly to build a port and base in Coos Bay and Oregon won't let it happen...so they are stuck with meth labs instead. all our good lumber is going to top dollar paying Japan and our transportation and infrastructure are lagging.....what I disagree with is that Trump will do anything about it period....on a side note.....I'm happy you won your choice but just for you....for the country, I'm holding my breath until the storm passes

Well, we get none if the election had gone the other way.

    Yes, hoping.

This election is a prime example of what happens when you gut a country's education system. People will believe whatever they are told because they they don't know any better.....first, corporate America sends their jobs over seas, waits until they are on their knees and desperate, and then brainwashes them into thinking that the very institutions that cut them off at the knees are going to save them. If and when these sheep wake up to the fact they have attached themselves to the wolves it's going to get even uglier......

Ah! We should not be in the position where "anyone can" gut the education system. That begins when you lose control over it.

Mags this thread needs your 2 cents added
Congrats on getting your nominee across the finish line.
Trump may not be perfect, but was far our best option this time.

Still hope that a unbiased special prosecutor is appointed to go over all of the Clinton scandals
and the Foundation. National security was put at risk for many years to come.

It'll probably be a few days before the mushrooms wear off and he wakes up in a strange hotel in Vegas

Trouble is, if you thought that person was unbiased when s/he started, you wouldn't accept that s/he was when s/he concluded there was nothing there. Those are the alternate realities we live in now.

Why exactly do you think Hillary should go to prison? Whatever the reason is, do you think that, if she's guilty of it, most of our politicians aren't?
Does "drianing the swamp" = a Marxist dictatorship of the proletariat/full-on Cultural Revolution?
Genuinely curious. Seems that the idea that politicians have to make compromises to get any shit done has been lost. Do we want the State of Nature? Somalia awaits you, if so.

I don't think it's necessarily because they don't know any better because they're poorly educated. It's that they have accepted full-on relativism of knowledge, that reality is a political construct and there are no objective standards any more. Clearly we've accepted extreme moral relativism if they can be aware of all of what Trump did and said and regard it as merely acceptable character quirks. I mean, his own biographer and a whole bunch of people who know him well have come forward and called him a full-on psychopath, but this can be dismissed as simple propaganda in our current climate.

If there's one truly scary development this time round, it's the outright rage and hatred directed at journalists by the Trumpists:

All hyperbole aside, THEY THEMSELVES use the Nazi term "lugenpresse" ferchrissakes.
