Obama care is a shit pile, but I DID like very few aspects of it. SO if he fixes it, and keeps the semi-good things from it, I am OK with that. I am sure he is trying to compromise a bit beings that half the fucking nation hates his guts.

Mandating that someone has to pay an insurance company is a government takeover of healthcare, whether Dole or Ryan or Reagan or Lincoln said it. Nothing about health care became more affordable. It just that the American populace picked up the bill for those that insurance companies deemed too expensive to make money back on.
MRIs are still $2k or more. Pills are still expensive. People are being charged $50 for an emergency room band-aid. Etc. I'm ok with a wholesale reform of this.

Trump will one by one accept all the work in progress in the oval office....if he doesn't, he'll have to work on another plan and he doesn't really want to work

The government mandates that you buy car insurance.

Is car insurance a government takeover?

Rosie O'Donnell is a fat slob. Ugly on the outside, and on the inside, and especially on the outside. Obamacare is for slobs like her? I don't think so. I'm not paying for her to eat cheesecake.

    Bullshit. If I don't drive, I don't buy insurance.

I'm thinking that we need serious tort reform and to put big pharmaceutical companies in their place for price hiking drugs that cost the tiniest fraction of the cost they charge for them...that's where I'd begin with healthcare reform....I've had no problems with Oregon Fair Health plan....so far it's been affordable and worked for my family

I've always said it should be amended. For fuck's sake, anyone with half a brain could see that it needed work. Why the fuck do you think it's been a disaster since it was introduced?

Shit's too expensive, the quality of care is awful, you can't get referrals to specialists, and you can't keep the doctor you want to keep.

And if you don't like that, well...the government fines you a tax.

Gimmie a break. The fucking thing is awful, and it needs to be fixed.

And going a step further, if I do drive and get into an accident, I have the option of just paying for the fix (or fixing it myself, or having a buddy fix it for a steak dinner), rather than GEICO forking over 10k and then upping my premiums and copay to cover the difference. And when I get 2 DUIs, no insurance company in the world has to do a thing about it.

Just like the wall, I knew it was all rhetoric. The main thing is, is that he's going to hopefully fix the stupid shit that is tanking the economy, this being one of them.

It's not bullshit. Make sense when you talk. EVERYONE who drives MUST have insurance.

Everyone who lives will use healthcare. If you don't take responsibility and go to the er EVERYONE else pays for it.

    There is no difference.

Like I said.....I have had none of the problems you're complaining about ....my wife just completed full dental work and had all her checkups and it was cheap..as well as very good care with doctors and dentists she liked....you can choose options for care unless a doctor or dentist refuses to accept the insurance...which our old Obama hating dentist did....we found another. His loss..not ours or the fault of health care

If an epidemic happened and was airborne, you'd be glad people breathing the same air as you had access to health care...this is why they are making it a requirement...it's for public safety more than anything else.

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant it's not good for POOR people and the unwashed masses.

My father makes 6 figures and has Obamacare. It payed almost $1 Million for my mother's cancer treatment, but they were still stuck paying a HUGE deductible. Which is something I'd never be able to pay.
