yeah...cigarettes and alchohol are taxed like crazy...and we all know poor folk don't smoke or drink.......sales tax protects the poor from insane income tax if it's done right....just in case you don't have a clue about how much money we in Oregon lose from tourist dollars on sales......sure...let's just tax anyone who smokes, drinks, gambles or owns property but don't you dare fuck with our sodas and Cheetos!

What king of inhaler is he using? I have horrible asthma myself and am dumbfounded how expensive maintenance inhalers cost too.

Good luck getting the new head of the USDA to oppose "King Corn" and wheat as the base of the food pyramid.

First, congrats on the steps you've taken to improve your health. Great decision. I agree that our healthcare costs as a country would be dramatically reduced if more people would make similar decisions.

Regarding the mandate to buy health insurance, the Republicans have said that they want to eliminate that, but I don't see how it can work. Without younger and healthier people paying into the system, I don's see how we can afford to keep pre-existing conditions waiver provisions. Trump recently said he wants to maintain that going forward.

Your second point about keeping kids on the policy until 26, isn't that optional rather than a requirement? I don't think you have to carry them on your insurance unless you want to, but I may be wrong.

I never said that. I asked for someone's opinions on why they thought the premiums are rising. Quit it.

This is hilarious, Trump is just going to keep Obamacare but make a big show about changing some meaningless features. The republicans will love it and Trump will now call it Trumpcare. Its going to be the best insurance plan in the world, there will be no better plans, it will be an amazingly bigly success. Thanks Trump.

I am not sure what you're trying to insinuate here. I hate taxes of all kinds, and most democrats LOVE them bc they love to control people through their moral high ground.

The cheetos and soda example I posted above, was to show that most Americans do not give a fuck about their health, obviously, which is why also cigs and alcohol are purchased.

Healthcare shouldn't be mandatory, it shouldn't be single payer (since the healthy do not outrank the sick and end up getting ass raped by the government) and we sure as shit should stop taxing our damn citizens to death. Which blows my mind when poor people vote democrat. It's like they continually want to be fucking poor.

Look, I am not that dense to believe that we can live in a world tax free. But I also understand that the American people are taxed far to heavily. There has to be a balance and logic to it. Far to many things are being taxed (like my f'n property taxes) to supply services to people.

Oh give him time to include some teaching. So he keeps the popular feature of, Insurance companies can't reject previous conditions. But the mandate for everyone to buy insurance goes by the way side.

Well you can't do this, no one could buy the insurance, it would not be worth the cost. So, next will be no insurance available because they can't sell it. Then the things can get fixed, people will have learned how it works.

    Give it time.

The company I worked for provide us with insurance and when they were persuaded not to do this, they coughed up a few bucks a year to buy it on the market.
Well it isn't really enough money to do two, so I decided to just rely on the VA after awhile. Moda dropping me out caused me to pull the trigger. I also stopped paying Medicare Part B payments.
So VA is it for me.

My wife needs to find a new company for this coming year, not many sell it here in Coos County, and to make things worse you need to match up doctors and hospitals in network with the insurance available. To compound this issue, you need to find a doctor that is willing to take on new Medicare patients.

We have not been able to do this so far, but I guess the back stop is, starting over with Doctors in Eugene and use my son address as her place of residence.
A damn piss poor replacement for insurance we had provide in compensation for more than 30 years of service. Insurance that was usable anywhere we went with no restrictions on in or out of network horse shit.

That really pisses me off...I had Moda before retiring from my state job....my dentist wouldn't accept our new policy...I think that should be against the law. We found another dentist but over the years, I've given this guy a lot of referrals and business.....he hates Obama....that's his reason for refusing Oregon Fair Health plan patients

Perhaps you might see why this happens. He has not been a help to everyone you see. He simply lies to the public on TV, but leaves those fucked, just there, without remorse.
I would hate to be a doctor, being squeezed by the insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid, to deliver within their dictated prices without regard to the doctor's costs.
They are no longer in private enterprise these days, and most can not afford to have too high a percentage of their patients in these programs.

He can do what he likes....the money was exactly the same if I used my old insurance or the new....that's not his issue with refusing some insurance and excepting others...I also don't want my doctor talking his politics while I'm paying him to work on my teeth...hell you can't even talk back with your mouth full of novocaine
