<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SAT LAKE CITY -- Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer has a hairline fracture of his left fibula, an injury that usually takes 4-to-6 weeks to heal, the team said Wednesday. Boozer injured his knee on Saturday, in a collision with the New Orleans Hornets' Tyson Chandler. He sat out Monday's game against the New Jersey Nets with a bruised knee. The injury leaves first-place Utah without its leading scorer and rebounder. Boozer is averaging 22.1 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game. He missed the first 49 games last season with a hamstring injury and the last 31 games two years ago with a strained right foot.</div>LinkWow, this is going to hurt big time for the Jazz. If the Nuggets could get healthy and make a nice run, they could possibly gain a good lead on the Jazz for the division. Im guessing this means he wont be playing in the all-star game anymore, which he should have been named a back-up.
Devestating blow. Boozer was completely destroying foes inside the paint, and grabbing a ton of rebounds too. This just proves that he is injury prone. This will break the Jazz's chances of getting a high seed...
This totally sucks, the best hope for the Jazz is all the LA tech homers being right and that Paul Milsap can usurp Boozer. highly unlikely, but the Jazz will need Milsap, and AK to step it up big time.
I just picked up Millsap for Brezec on my fantasy team. :happy0144: I think he can do a good job but it's still a big loss. I still see the Jazz having a pretty good seed in the playoffs but the Nuggets may just pass them...
Man, I knew that this was going to happen eventually. After Boozer being injured for most of last year, I knew that it was just about time before he got injured again. I really feel bad for the Jazz. They have a really good team when all of their players are fully healthy, but they never can stay healthy for a full year. I still think that the Jazz can win their division however as long as Boozer comes back in 4-6 weeks and doesn't get injured again.
This is exactly what the Jazz didn't want to hear that their star player Carlos Boozer who is leading their team is going to be out 4-6 weeks. The Jazz are hitting a tough part in their schedule and Andrei Kirilkeno is injured too. The Jazz though should be able to fend off the Nuggets but this would mean that their bench players especially Paul Millsap will have to step up while Boozer is gone. The game Boozer got injured Millsap had a monster of a game at 15 points and 17 boards. If he could even put up 10 and 10 a night that would be huge for the Jazz. I feel bad for Boozer though he can never stay healthy and was having a stellar year.
This is a bad blow for the Jazz. They will prolly lose some ground to the Nuggets now. Millsap needs to step it up now as do the rest of the Jazz reserves.
hopefully millsap does step up. I think the nuggets will catch on ahead of them, this injury IMO will take them down a seed at least until boozer can get back. bad hit for the jazz
