Raptors Monthly Record:November: 5-10December: 8-8January: 10-5Alright I dont really know why this topic started but I dont really like people calling this team mediocre as they have been playing amazing basketball as of late, just look at their monthly record this season. I know they're not a top 10 team but I wouldnt count this team out in the playoffs as they have showed that they could beat any team in the NBA (except Chicago..lol) so IF the Raptors do make it into the playoffs dont be surprised if we get through the first round or even second round. Anyways thats all I have to say....ill put my money down on the raps anyday!

I would like to see how the Raptors handle the rest of the season though.

Honestly what makes them above that? You think this is a championship contender were talking about. If not, then they're mediocre.

You thought busting a nut meant playing your heart out. It doesn't mean that in any context.

I honestly do not even see them making the playoffs this season. Jersey will take it.

I like how you captured CB4's favorite pasttime in it as well. But Yeah back to what I was saying. I just noticed your sig CB4, but really I don't think anyone is in the wrong. Because I think no one expects the Raptors to do anything this year. Their leading the worst division, congrats on that accomplishment but in reality. When it comes down to it, they are not going to do anything in the end of this. They're a team for the future like you've pointed out and I don't see how anyone is in the wrong about them this year. They're a mediocre team that will be out early. Your better off changing your sig to Anyone who thought the Raptors weren't making playoffs list. Than list the ones who agreed.
Being .500 is actually a very good accomplishment considering our record last year, which was 27 and 55 (pretty sure that's what it was...). And no one expected them to improve all that much this year. I don't think anyone except for the Raptors fans here agreed that we'd be a playoff team also.

Um...no I highly doubt the Raptors will miss the playoffs this year unless we get plagued with injuries. And we are improving every month and have come a long way since the beginning of the season...each month our record improves and each month the Raptors get better defensively as our Points Against gets lower. Im not trying to convince any of you that the Raptors are going to take the NBA by storm but I just dont wanna see people saying like..."Oh well the Raptors only made it into the playoffs cause they're in the Atlantic" and all that other BS

I'm surprized that they are holding the division but I always thought they would fight for a playoff position. As for .500 being a very good accomplishment, maybe being a Mavs fan has blinded me but I guess that is a whopping accomplishment for what was a bad team the past years. Again congrats, but I don't think it's worthy of bragging. If Raptors make it to the ECF or Finals, than you can add me to your sig.

Jesus, man. Why can't you understand? Of course it is a big accomplishment for the Raps. We were 27-55 last year, and now we are at .500 at the middle of the season. How the hell is that not a big accomplishment for this franchise? That is a huge improvement, and I am allowed to get excited over it.

It doesn't mean that in any context.
I know, im not 8 years old.Anyways, continuing, I want to show everyone how the Raptors have just as good as much teams in the NBA this season. Im going to take lets say the Washington Wizards for instance and compare them to us, im going to show you they jumped up about as much as we did.RaptorsPPG: 97.7 -4 from last yearOPP PPG: 98.2 +6 from last year, meaning we allowed 104 last yearREB: 39.1 +1 from last yearOPP REB: 41.1 no changeOPP FG%: 46% +3 from last year, meaning we allowed OPP to shoot nearly 50% last year. The raptors have faced 18 above .500 teams this season.WizardsPPG: 107 +5 from last yearOPP PPG: 106 -6 from last year, meaning they allowed only 99 last yearREB: 40 -1 from last yearOPP REB: 43 +1 meaning they allowed OPP to rebound 42 timesOPP FG%: 47% +1 meaning they allowed 46% percent last yearThe wizards have faced 20 above .500 teams this seasonSo do you guys see the difference? The Wizards now lead the East, and that was a big improvement for them, and so is .500 for us. Maybe only once in maybe 20-30 years will you see a below .500 team jump into a championship team, are you guys crazy? Its not how you compare to the rest of the nba, its how you compare to your previous achievements. If the Phoenix Suns win a championship, but still allow 10 more points than they did last year, and score ten less than last year, its not that they're great, but its the NBA thats crappy.

Then when he said he meant CB4AllStar I know he meant he combined CB4 being excited with his favourite past time. No biggie.

People can't say Nets will take the division. They're under .500 right now. They're at 22-24 I think. Raptors are gonna take it. Players are playing better and better and they're only half way through the season. They'll stay over .500 and take there divison, make the playoffs and then we'll see what happens next. It'll be great just to make it to the playoffs. We shouldn't underestimate the Raptors. Just watch.

At 26-23 the Raptors are doing very well this year. Calling them mediocre simply shows that you haven't been watching them play over the last two months. This is a team that underwent a complete makeover this summer. They started the season very poorly (2-8 I believe), which is understandable when you bring in that many new players. They have since developed great chemistry and the various new editions have begun to understand the system. Once the team began to mesh, they started playing up to their potential and are a very good team. There's a reason they're number 8 in the Holllinger Power Rankings on ESPN. They play solid ball, are a complete team and have good depth. They're a team that can give any other team in the league a run for their money. Admittedly the Eastern conference isn't as strong as the west, but the raps have a very good shot at a solid playoff run in the East. 26-23 is not indicative of how good this team is because judging the quality of the team on the court NOW based on the team that started season just isn't fair.
