    Re: Kobe's Passing Ability

Now I know that Kobe is one of the best scorers in the league, and IMO, the most talented player in the league as well, but one part of his game that is very underrated is his passing. After watching him play about 15 games this season, I have seen some of the best passing out of any player in the league. He is able to eleveate over the opposition to find his teammattes, he can get in to the lane and give a wide open dunk to his bigs, and he is so creative as well. What do you guys think?

Yeah, 43, 8 and 8. He also is an outstanding defender. I think he is the MVP but ya'll know Nash is gonna get it because David Stern and him are in love with each other.

His passing abilities really floored me tonight. I had no idea he was that good. Gerald was playing good D and denying him the shot, and he was just tossing the ball around racking up assists in the first quarter.

I try to convince my friends at school this... they don't watch so they'll never know.So yeah, I do think his passing is very underrated. Just because he had a trend of being selfish and stuff like that, that doesn't mean anything. He knows how to set it up.

If he played for a different team, with more spot up shooters, he could wrack up even more. It was weird, because in the first quarter of tonights game, I thought he would have had like 5 assists or maybe even 6, but he only had 3. If any of you watched the game agaisnt the Spurs about a week ago, you would have seen his AMAZING passes to start OT. He got Radmonovic and Bynum two uncontested dunks. And tonight, he did the same thing with Bynum. When he is driving to the rim, he is so flexible and creative around the basket. He always finds a good seem to get his teammattes the ball.

He has been shooting the ball pretty decently as of late, and he also ussually doesn't turn the ball over either. I dont know what his deal was tonight.

Well when everyone expects you to shoot it catches the defense off guard when you actually pass. If Kobe passed more teams would start to anticipate it and Kobe's turnover count would skyrocket like 2 years ago.

Do you realize Kobe has flaws to his game? It's time you realize Kobe has errors and I'm the one to show them to you that will dispell you of this Kobe homerism.

Maybe you were unaware that Delonte was playing with the flu last night, and he took IV fluids earlier in the day. Delonte is a good player.

    Delonte West > Smush Parker

Why do you have to be so negative? Have you watched Kobe Bryant before, especially this year (where he is taking less shots)? Kobe is an outstanding passer, and people don't give him credit because he's such a great scorer. It reminds me of Michael Jordan back in the day, he never got the credit he deserved for his passing ability either.

Yeah, mavsfan, when you are as talented as Kobe Bryant, teams anticipate a guy like him scoring more than playmaking like Jason Kidd.

Kobe is good at scoring and passing. But everytime he gets the ball, I expect him to shoot. Nobody focuses on his passing. Just his shots.

    Re: Kobe's Passing Ability

Yeah exactly^^^^. He looks like a good passer but he is double/triple teamed making it easy for him to find the open player. He definitely is no Steve Nash or Jason Kidd. You could pretty much say it looks like all superstars are great passers because everyone is so worried about their shooting.

You always tell people to watch the Mavs play when they say something you don't agree with. Stop contradicting yourself and actually watch Kobe play instead of assuming things. If you would actually stop being so biased against players you hate on and actually watch them maybe you wouldn't make yourself look olike an idiot.I find it funny how you only here Kobe haters ever call him a ball hog, or say he doesn't pass, etc. You never here that from anyone else.

    Re: Kobe's Passing Ability

Yeah, Kobe would get TONS of assists if he weren't in the triangle Offense. Almost all of Kobe's passes are usually the first of a series of passes that end up to the open man, or often times back in Kobe's hands. People say that Wade and LBJ are better passers just because they get more assists, but that's because they're usually passing directly to a shooter, Kobe is initiating the offense. It's different.

    Re: Kobe's Passing Ability

Kobe is definately a very underrated passer. The only problem with him is at times he gets clumsy with his passes and/or misses the open man. Most big time scorers are very underrates passers/playmakers. Kobe, T-Mac, Pierce, Melo, VC, etc...
