Just because someone tries to hijack the thread, it doesn't make it off topic. What the fuck?

How about we try to just accept everyone no matter how weird it seems?

If someone wants to force me to say or do something I don't want to do I'll get pissed then.

I would prefer that after they do this that they don't make it a special event. Next time a regular game comes up and a gay choir wants to sing the anthem and it's their turn, let them.

That's great dude but that's not what I'm talking about.

This is a press release about the Blazers honoring and celebrating different groups of people. Your "satire" about one of the groups and fat chicks doesn't really belong here.

My posts weren't about censoring you or telling you that you're wrong. If this was a press release about the Blazers honoring and celebrating members of our armed forces during a game and someone started posting about how bad our military sucks I would have done the same thing. Not because they were right or wrong, it just doesn't belong in that thread.

We have a great Off Topic section, full of healthy debates and discussions. What you're posting about belongs there, it doesn't belong in a thread in the Blazer section of the Blazer forum.

I knew that the Blazers were going to lose tonight as soon as I saw this thread. Anytime their is a "Night" of anything Lillard and the rest of the team play horrible basketball. I don't know what their record is on these sort of events but I can imagine its pretty bad.

I was hoping I was going to be wrong.

This team needs to concentrate on playing much better basketball.

I don't know if there are any more under-appreciated groups out there that the Blazers have yet to lose a game in honor of, but I'm sure we hold some sort of league record for it.

We also have black members, yet the board has racist threads. This guy's just being funny without putting down gay people, unlike the serious racist, pro-police killings, and pro-war threads which advocate hurting people. He's right that the acronym is so long, it's silly. Naming it the "Sexual Orientation movement" would be much better than hiding behind letters like a corporation.

In his defense, if you can't make fun of PEOPLE, who CAN you make fun of? :dunno:

I mean, SERIOUSLY, who is more openly asking to be lampooned, ridiculed, poked at in fun, satirized...for the amusement of others.

Animals? Every second of their lives is about survival, and although they can entertain us it is difficult to make fun of them.

Vegetables? As props in sex jokes maybe but that's not the same either.

Minerals? Hmmm...I'm thinking jlprk would be the one to ask about jokes from geologists, but again I think not.

People are flat out side-splitting, absurdly and cluelessly funny. The things they do, the things that slip out of their mouths too quick. So we simply have to make fun of each other, and make fun of ourselves just as much. Laughter is as necessary for life as air, water and food. Making fun of people is what creates laughter in us.
