Good job! Even if POR and SAC would do that trade, what's in it for PHI? I think you'd have to get Bryan Colangelo REALLY drunk and maybe get some blackmail worthy photos before he'd even return your calls.

At least you proved it's possible, even if it's not probable.

    NB3 just did.

All thing equal, I don't think Sacto trades Boogie for CJ and Vonleh. Or trades him, period.

Once you get the Philly part figured out, adding a 3rd team is straightforward.

The problem is that ESPN doesn't let you even try out trades that include players that aren't tradable until December/January, which is really fucking stupid. They could just make a note that the player isn't currently tradable.... but noooooooooooooo.

We could send a couple picks to Philly... or we would have to swap out Aminu/Davis (14.4 million) for someone else.

Getting Boogie is much easier than getting LeBron. LeBron has never, and will never, be on the trading block. Boogie is. SAC REALLY needs to trade him and the longer they wait the less they'll get for him.

I'd like see Neal try to get Boogie without giving up C.J. I think a big 3 of Dame, Cousins and C.J., makes us very competitive.

Given the fact that SAC needs to trade Cousins, or risk losing him for nothing, combined with the on court tantrums and off court feuds with multiple owners, multiple GMs, several coaches and even his teammates in SAC, Cousins will fetch much less on the open market that talent alone would dictate. A lot of teams simpy will not touch him with a 10-foot pole.

So, maybe Neal can put together a package around Crabbe, and couple players on cheap contracts and a couple draft picks (ours a CLE's) and get something done. Crabbe is good enough he'd start for them right now. He's better than Aaron Afflalo and 7 years younger. He's a young piece that can be part if their rebuild, along with those draft picks.

Maybe a pipe dream, but DeMarcus Cousins will be traded and for a lot less than people think.

If we can't get Cousins. I'd rather get Noel from PHI for Crabbe and keep C.J. PHI is desperate to move one of Okafor or Noel and these days, it's Noel that's out of favor with their front office. They also desperately needs guards and outside shooting. Crabbe would give them that, and he's young enough to fit well with their young core.

Noel would not give us a 3rd scorer, but he'd address our interior defense and rebounding, which are our two biggest weaknesses. And, I'm convinced he's gettable without giving up C.J.

I really wish the trade machine would let me play around with our full roster of contracts. It's pretty limited right now.

I also wish it would let me include draft picks.

Yeah, it's pretty weak. I wish they would just let you set the date of the trade. They have all the player trade restrictions in their database. So, just allowing you to enter a date of trade would make it possible to look at trades after 12/15, 1/15 and at the deadline.

It makes no sense. We have to wait until the player is actually tradable in order to come up with hypothetical scenarios?

You might want to put in a request to ESPN to add that feature. Maybe even get jlprk involved. I hear he has some pull with the ESPN admins.

Interesting wording. Cousins isn't on a rookie deal. Neither is Gay.

I think he's on a minute restriction. At least he was unless it got lifted.

    But Okafor pls Neil.

The pimply 16-year-old mod who kept deleting hundreds of my posts is now 26 and might listen to reason. Especially if I find him in a dark alley.

Note: The mods here are great--no comparison to ESPN. Don't worry about me, guys. I love you! Mwah! Mwah!

No, I grasp it just fine. Which is it? First you claim that Reggie's playoff record was lackluster because of the Bulls and Pistons being good. I show where the Pacers only lost in the playoffs once to one of those teams. Reggie could not beat a team of John Bagley and Kevin Gamble? You were proved wrong and are now claiming there was no supporting cast in Indiana while Klay is riding the Warriors coattails.

Again, my take. They are very close to being offensive equals. One could argue it either way. On defense it is not even close.

If you have anything to add to this. please show me how Reggie was clearly better on the offensive end or they are in the same neighborhood defensively.

The two go hand in hand. The East was STACKED back then, so the Pacers lack of overall talent contributed to their inability to succeed early on in his career. And I find it funny that you keep using playoff success as a measuring stick, because Reggie was known as stepping it up in the post season.

    Here you go though:

Klay vs Reggie first five years in the league.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com...ct=Klay Thompson&y2=2016&player_id2=thompkl01

Reggie crushes him in most offensive metrics.

    ORTG
    Reggie 123
    Klay 108

    OWS
    Reggie 39.8
    Klay 17.7

    VORP
    Reggie 17.0
    Klay 8.1

    eFG%
    Reggie 55.6%
    Klay 54%

    TS%
    Reggie 62.8%
    Klay 56.7%

    PER
    Reggie 18.3
    Klay 16.2

    FG%
    Reggie 50.2%
    Klay 45%

They have nearly identical regular season averages over that span, but Reggie averaged 22.8 ppg in the playoffs, while Klay only averaged 19.8.

You're right, Klay is the superior defender, but Reggie pretty much destroyed him in every significant measure of offensive ability.
