I'm surprised at how Gerald took it to Kobe last night. He didn't get all intimidated and shy away, he really kept coming at him possession after possession. He actually played Kobe solidly on defense, for the most part, but some of the shots Kobe made were unguardable. I was impressed with the way Gerald came out last night.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game That's pretty cool. Ever since I saw what Gerald Green could do, I've been a fan. Hopefully he can become an impact player in the league. That's got to boost his morale.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game Another overlooked trait of Kobe Bryant that people will never talk about. That's commendable on his part, I really respect players who communicate with the young guys and want to help them succeed. I didn't catch the game last night because of work but that's good to hear gerald did a pretty good job on him and he was taking the ball right at him on offense. Unfortunately we just tied the franchise record for losses in a row last night.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game Well that was extremely nice of Kobe. Gerald should definitely carry his head high and play with some confidence after that.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game That's a pretty good thing for Kobe to do and say to Gerald Green who is a young talent and should develop to be a very good player. Last night was probabaly his best game of the season having 20 points for the guard that came straight out of HS. This guy has a very bright future and is an emerging player.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game I don't know about his best game of the season moses, he's had a few 20 point games. This is up there because it's against kobe, but he's had plenty of games n the 20's.I'm sure this is encouraging for gerald to hear from Kobe. Not that he really needs it, since he probably hears it from Pierce a lot, too. But now I guess he knows it's legit because it's not froma teammate, but from a competitor.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game Why don't CB32, Gerald and Kobe just make out or something...my lord.

I dont see Green being as good as Kobe. I see him as a 22-25 point scorer.
Re: Kobe's comments on Gerald after the game Wow that is great that Kobe is trying to help out the young guys. That has to be a huge morale boost for gerald.

This was his best game. Not only did he put up the numbers (3's, mid-range, and attacking the basket), but he also made smart decisions and did a VERY solid job on Kobe all night long. He stuck with him on pretty much every play and he had a hand in his face at all times. Those shots Kobe hit were just Kobe being Kobe, Bruce Bowen couldn't have done anything about those shots either. Gerald took it right to Kobe all night long on both ends, he had the fire in his eyes, and he didn't even turn the ball over once all night long (pretty good considering Gerald plays sloppy sometimes and Kobe is a top 5 perimeter defender in the NBA).
