With injuries to Kreider and Buchnevich, Ranger brass call on Cristoval "Boo" Nieves, a speedster with no NHL experience and is a light weight.
He's not a light weight. He's 6'3, 200 pounds. Was a big anti Nieves guy in college. However, he impressed during the pre-season in his brief showing. He is also good on draws. AV already loves him. Hartford is very young. I suspect the team their will stink for at least 40 games.
Not sure how another team hasn't tried to trade for Hrivik. The 4th lines on a ton of teams around the NHL flat out suck. I would offer 3rd rounder for him. To me from what I saw he's a lock to be a real solid, 4th line player for 6-8 years. Well worth that pick.
