Had quite a conversation with a couple of long time Yankee Fans and a Cub Bandwagon Jumper last night. Cub Bandwagon Jumper defended Cashman saying he was almost as good as Theo. Us Yankee Fans countered with the Yankees having "Theos" long before Theo came along. A team does not win 27 Championships with the likes of Cashman at the helm. Yankee Fans agreed that the upcoming trade meetings could give Cashman an opportunity to shine, but he'll probably substitute his "shine" kit for a huge checkbook. In the end we Yankee Fans pretty much agreed that 28 won't be seen unless Cashman changes or goes.

The individual who made the Cashman assessment is a White Sox fan (allegedly) who back in '05 told me one can be either a Sox or Cubs Fan but not both. When the Cubs won he jumped on their bandwagon and I reminded him of his '05 statement said well they haven't won in quite a while. I would further state he's one of those fans who if you asked him to name his teams starting lineup one through nine would not be able to do so. He came in to Bogart the conversation until the Yankees discussion got really deep. Lately I've run into a few Yankee Fans here that agree Cashman must go. I'm going to drift over to Steinbrenner Field after Thanksgiving weekend to see if the new gift shop is open and chat up some fans.

If I could choose a GM for the Yankees Beane would be the top dog from the pack. Steinbrenners mones and Beans choices of talent the Yankees could build up another dynasty of mention. Just saw a virtual tour of Steinbrenner Field, sharp as a tack renovations over there at a cost of 40 mil, Spring Ticket prices this season are 22 to ninety dollars at single game prices with discounts for multi game and season ticket holders.

Theo, slightly > than Trashman.....? :smiley-wow: Now there's a fair weather fan in need of a brain transplant- a lobotomy isn't enough.

like you said Michael, he probably can't mention any teams line up....:smiley-puzzled:

his mindless brain couldn't tread deep waters, shallow creature....
only thing worse than a Red Sox Fan, is one who calles themselves a fan, but knows nothing of the sport, its players, teams, rules, history, et al. No history, no nostalgia known, = no convo....

Hope to hear of ST from You Michael.

If Lil' is still in Fla, her as well.

    Heya Lil'
are you in Fla now or NY???? if ye don't mind me asking? As a reward, I've left a FTD pick up for you at the closest supermarket, all you got to do is walk in, claim your 4 Kilo bag of Cheetos, and tell them "its taken care of" and give them my phone number account, ie 1-800-Che-etos, or 1-800-Yan-x018; and your in.

there I go again, assuming...! Assuming everyone still uses a tin can and string like I have since a kid. No wonder the call didn't work.

and here I thought you headed north from Fla., got sidetracked, detoured to the backwoods of Arkansas, and were never seen from again. Whereabouts unknown, other than- on this board...~!~
btw- one can still find phone booths in the trees of Arkansas, tin cans plenty of string; which transmits data for "dial up modems"; aka Arkansas Broadband Phone Booths.
