Re: Mike Conley & Greg Oden. This isn't really about them as players. But these two have been great friends and teammates for 8 years now. CB32 told me that Conley's dad will be Oden's NBA agent...these two have such an interesting relationship.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mike Conley Jr. knew how to pick up a friend in need. Greg Oden, Conley's teammate in high school (at Indy's Lawrence North), AAU (Spiece Indy Heat) and college (OSU), was rocked this week by the death of his best friend, Ball State freshman golfer Travis Smith. Oden attended Smith's funeral in Terre Haute, Ind., on Wednesday and, according to The Columbus Dispatch, arrived in West Lafayette less than an hour before the team bus departed to face Purdue. And so while Oden struggled with foul trouble against the Boilermakers, Conley scored 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting from long distance and dished out six assists. Of his big-man-in-mourning, Conley said, "We just wanted to do whatever we could to make it easier on him."</div> I'm glad these two are such good 'people'...I wish more guys were like them.
Re: Mike Conley & Greg Oden. Yup, they are great friends.Greg Oden has even called Conley the better player of the two. Both of them have a nice future in basketball and it's great to see how humble and respectful they are.
Re: Mike Conley & Greg Oden. Yeah, I was very happy to hear that both of them got on OSU. I knew who Conley was and I knew Oden alreayd commited to OSU then he did. I wa sso happy. And looking at Conley he was not heavily recruited. Look at him now. He is doing great. He is the big ten leader in assists. They are jut both have great seasons.
Re: Mike Conley & Greg Oden. BTW: Oden's friend in the article (the one who died) was a good golfer and was a short white kid who was a child-hood friend of Oden's.
