Sam deserves it. He had a tough 2 seasons and in his final season, his team is finally playing like he wants them to. But I need to say his 100 shot idea was pretty dumb, and now the Raptors even forgot about that thing we were going to do. But He brought out the best in Jose and also Chris Bosh this month too.
Hey CB4, I wouldnt be so sure that Mitchell is going to get fired as the coach. The team has made drastic improvements this year compared to last year, and they have been playing really well as of late. The team is really young, and I guarantee you that Colangelo is pleased as of right now. I dont even know if he expected them to do this well this season so far. I expect him to be the coach next year, but if they dont make even more improvements next season, then he might get canned. But you cant fire a guy when his team is doing pretty good.
When Colangelo first came to Toronto he didn't like Mitchell and was thinking of firing him at first. And then. When he got Coach of the month and brought the best out of his players this month, Colangelo has changed his mind about that, and Mitchell can be going to his way of an extension. And now they are also great friends. They talk about everything. And Trade talks too. Read this on a newspaper.
I was very happy they won those awards. They deserved it. I really hope Colangelo wins Executive of the Year because he's the main reason for the team's success. I'm not that shocked that Mitchell has done this well. Not sure if he'll win coach of the year ahead of Jerry Sloan, but he's doing a heck of a good job.
