Can they win 45? Well sure, if they actually start defending. Will they? I guess that depends on effort, communication, Aminu and Ezeli coming back and do-nothings like Leonard (and others) being banished to the end of the bench.
We're still better than we were this time last year, although we do seem to be sliding backwards which I find quite worrisome. Remember who our leader is, though, and have faith! Lilliard can will this team to > 45 wins!
I thought we looked much better last night. Up about 5 with about 5 to go.....then we had a bad 3 minute stretch. But overall we did not play horribly. I am liking the Davis/Plumlee line up. Having said that....yeah we will lose by 20 tonight. Cleveland is rested and has had time to put together a solid game plan. Will we win 45? Sure if we are still at 500 with 12 games to go......
I wouldn't look at just the record. Our points differential is -4, our defense is 30th in the league. These are the markers I look at when I ask the question, "how well are they playing?" This is a game we could sneak one by the Cavs....still waiting for our first blowout win and why not against the champs! Go Good Guys!
Look at the final two months of the schedule - we'll win a bunch of games and make the POs. Not worried about that. But I hope that someday we're actually competitive when playing against good teams.
You leave too much room for error. I predict that if we have 45 wins with 12 games to go, we will win at least 45.
We are a horrible team that shows glimpses of being something much much better. The good thing is much of what we just down right suck at, are things that we were doing fairly well at last year so its things we have seen the team be consistent at. The bad rebounding/horrible switching/wrong calls/wrong rotations defensively/not communicating/not trusting each other when communciating ect, are all things I dont' expect to hang around all year. Can we fix them in time to not be a 7/8th seed or worse, I think so but its not going to be pretty until we do.
I'm SO confused! I thought everybody here said we were going to crush everybody this season! We were better than the Clips and Spurs and Jazz and everybody. Please explain the change of opinion please.
