Good players in this upcoming draft. Just thought I'd post a positive thread! Would love to have a top 5 pick.

Then you should be happy with the losses?

Fair or not, Portland should be nowhere near Harry Giles. A player coming off of two ACL injuries? We gotta pass.

Fultz looks like the real deal, and with his size, could play alongside Lillard in the backcourt.

Agreed. I think Tatum will be the best player in this draft. If he continues to develop his shot he'll be strong in every area

Why? We can't discuss the top picks in the upcoming draft and which one would fit here better?

I don't want them to lose and I still think they'll make the playoffs, it's just fun to think about us having a top pick because this draft is really deep and has a lot of really good players

Less than 20 games into the season and we are already talking top 5 pick?

No, simply who would fit best here out of the top prospects in the draft.

Maybe some have forgot that CJ's PPP makes it essentially impossible to trade him until July?

Why? The draft is where we found our two superstars.

My favorite era (89-92) was built almost exclusively out of the draft (sans Buck)!!!

No one is out here rooting for losses! But when you lose 5 of your last 6, have a Top 3 payroll, and the worst defense in the league, you gotta start looking for rays of sunshine. One of those rays would be a nice draft pick.

Or start signing retired Rays. Ray Allen would probably help our offense, while giving us some size on the perimeter, and Ray Lewis would surely help our defense and toughness. I don't know where Sugar Ray Leonard fits in, other than being an upgrade in the style department over Meyers Leonard.

No it doesn't. You'd just need a 3rd team with cap space to take on some salary.

Work it on the trade machine. People have. And I didn't say it was impossible. Just essentially close. It is hard to do. You will see if you try.

    There you go!!!

Honestly we wasted our time last year but I'm willing to go to the lottery this year (which we will our defense is dead last)

I can't wait for the draft this season it'll be worth it
