<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Even if Howard is left off the All-Star roster -- and that's not likely to happen -- the 6-foot-11, 268-pounder still will make an appearance at NBA All-Star Weekend. His agent, Aaron Goodwin, was notified earlier this week that Howard had been chosen to participate in the dunk contest.</div>floridatoday.comI don't neccisarily like big men in the dunk contest, because they don't have the finesse that swingmen have while dunking. But it should be interesting. You can't deny Dwight's dunking ability. I've seen him do some great dunks. But big men have a hard time really pulling off unique, finesse dunks. Maybe he'll get someone to assist him like Amare did. Here's a pic of him kissing the rim just by jumping.Other contestants? I say Gerald Green, Rudy Gay, and Andre Iguodala. That's who I want in it anyway....
I like Dwight Howard, but having him in there is a waste...he can't pull off moves in the air...why does the NBA still allow these big guys to enter. Howard will be out in the first round.
Yeah, big men in the dunk contest is ridiculousBut if they're really creative (a la Amare) they can make it pretty farBesides, Dwight has the most amazing hop I've ever seen on any sized player
Gerald Green, Rudy Gay, Josh Smith, Andre Iguadala, Nate Robinson, and Dwight Howard? How many guys are allowed in the contest?
Four is the maximum.Nate Robinson is in for sure. All of the winners from 2006 will compete.Dwight Howard is now in for sure.I think Gerald Green and Andre Iguodala will round out the contest.
Iguodala said after last year's contest that he did not want to participate again. If he still feels that way I would want to see Gerald Green and Rudy Gay in the contest.
Who cares if Dwight Howard could ALMOST kiss the rim, what is he? 6'11" OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!Anyway, bigs always suck in the dunk contest recent examples include, Johnathan Bender and that Chris Anderson dude. However, Amare was pretty cool and Wilkens in the 80's was cool to. But on the average, bigs suck balls in the dunk contest. The dunk contest blows now anyway.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Amare was pretty cool</div>I agree with you except that one. But that\'s your preference. To me I thought that was a terrible representation of the dunk contest by Amare. He did nothing but catch fancy alley oops by Nash. He did nothing special in his own regard and pretty much had another player steal the show. He sucked to me. If Dwight pulls off a move though, I will be impressed because of his size. So I\'m interested if actually does try and do something. Otherwise it\'s going to come off bad imo.

Not the ones with Nash throwing him lobs, you're right about that.

No big men should ever be allowed to step foot in the dunk contest unless your name is Larry Nance. Big guys just don't have the finesse to get the job done. They throw down dunks with power, but not much creativity. Even when they do pull something incredible off, it looks awkward because they are so big.I want to see Rudy Gay, Josh Smith, Andre Iguodala, and Gerald Green. Not Nate Robinson and Dwight Howard.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I agree with you except that one. But that\'s your preference. Not a fan of big men in the Dunk constest either. Although, as long as Rudy Gay and Gerald Green round out the competition with Dwight/Nate I'll be happy.
Dwight Howard is a freak and he can jump just as high as anyone in the entire league and has even touched the top of the backboard twice. But it is kind of weird to have a guy of this size in the dunk contest I mean he will not be able to do many sophisticated moves like a Vince Carter or LeBron James. They need to stop letting big man get in the Dunk Contest as they never win anways.

Gerald Green is now in it tooso as of now it'sGerald Green, Nate Robinson, Dwight Howard and _____________wonder who the 4th man will be?
Not a bad idea, I think its good to give him a chance, just don't expect anything acrobatic. Robinson, Green and Iguodala will probably round out the selections.

Rudy gay should be the 4th person to round out the dunk contest.

I know he won't but it'll be great if he was.Josh Smith should go at it again.
