I was up on the fore deck changing the anchor to a newly acquired 70# delta, when this fellow show up on the dock. He says, I saw this boat from way down the street, I just had to come see it up close. We chatted a bit about what it was made of, how it was done and ... The he said, Did you build it? Yes. Then he switch the subject. He said, Then I know you don't smoke marijuana! Not knowing where he was going, I just said No, never have. He says, well it shows, she is beautiful. Nothing more so I went back to work, but I wondered what sort of experience made him think these thoughts?
It would be neat to understand what made him think of that. Maybe he's implying complicated stuff like that isn't really doable by someone who smokes? Or someone who smokes doesn't have the drive to do something like that? Weird. I do think that sometimes you can tell if someone has or hasn't, based on certain character traits. Although stereotypes aren't always accurate or logical. Example, I have some friends I never would've assumed smoked pot, and do and I have friends I'm not surprised at all are total pot heads whose lives revolve around pot. Just seems like such a random observation on his part.
it was a lame joke on his part about the cliche of pot smokers being lazy. like "hey, is that your ugly wife? you must have a tiny cock!"
Is there a difference between drug smugglers and DEA agents? I thought they were the same people. barfo
