One of my two dogs is half beagle and half German shepherd. A great fun combination 95% of the time, but the other 5% is as stubborn as a plugged up mule. He is fixed but doesn’t act like it. SPD, you can borrow him anytime you need your leg humped. I found two dogs are better than one. I keep them 5-7 years apart in age. The older one does a good job of training the newbie to our routines. They keep each other company and exercise each other. When I lose one, the other takes it hard, but we help each other get through it.
Well what ya know, Mrs PokerDog gave the thumbs up for a beagle, lol. Not for a while but this is a YUGE victory! A medium size dog! Sweet!
Had a beagle, pure bred with papers. Had seizures once in a while but it was morbidly obese because my wife's mom fed it fast food. This weiner chihuahua mix is pure evil, the camera isn't responsible for the eyes.
My mini-Aussie Blue healer mix, he's perfect size, only 30lbs but he can hike, fetch like a maniac, and swim in rapid rivers. He's also my toddler sons best friend.
They wont fetch frisbees, but they will fetch little toys. And they go crazy over laser pointers. The cool thing about little dogs is you can take them anywhere, you dont have to buy a ton of food, and you dont have ro spend much time cleaning their shit.
Dude, Blue Healers are fucking nuts! Some old neighbors of mine runs the Portland area Blue Healer rescue association. They're both tri-athletes, train year around. They take blue healers with them to train. Those dogs never tire out. It's amazing to see.
Wife and I really like Pembroke Welsh Corgis. But the puppies were $1,000+. She already had a chihuahua from before we dated, and they tend to be clannish, so we went with a 2nd chihuahua. He was only $175 as a puppy.
Kirby the Welsh Terrier. Unbelievably good with people, especially little kids. Complete and utter asshole with other dogs. A solid 27 lbs. Does not shed. Best dog I've ever had. BG's little bro.......
The rascals were giving me a hard time, they didn't like the flash from the camera. He is more the size of a big beagle, smaller than a GS, but you should be able to see some of the GS markings.
And Roxy HATED the flash on the camera and smart phone. Would bark at the camera like it was trying to attack her.
