The only guy that comes to my mind is Len Bias he had his whole life set out in front of him and was going to make a lot of money but after he got selected first he went out and partied and took a drug and died, he would have been a very good player but did something stupid.

I remember the documentary on tv about him narrated by chris rock in 2000. what a sad story. the dude was sweet like sugar and a great athlete. he's clean now tho.

I never knew that Keon Clark was banned from the NBA cause of drugs.1st person to come to my mind is birdman. Sucked in the Dunk contest and messed up JR dunk attempt. After that he gets caught for using drugs and is banned I think for life.

When did he get banned? I remember he got traded from the Kings to the Jazz, where he played two games than sat on the IR with bone spurs until midseason when they traded him to Phoenix. after that he was a free agent, and then he said he wanted to smoke pot.Shawn Kemp is another one that comes to mind.Another vice which ruins players careers but is rarely talked about is sex. Sex ruined Magic Johnsons career, it effected a lot of others as well.

Shawn Kemp and Michael Ray Richardson the best players that have fallen off cause of drugs and alcohol. I got the chance to see Kemp in Seattle, he was fantastic... was decent in Cleveland but really thats where he started his bs and then just fell off. Richardson though I am just pissed off at cause the Knicks drafted him over Larry Bird and he had a chance to be really good, I mean really good right behind Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson etc, I mean what a really big moron.

What about Earl 'The Goat' Manigault? The guy was said to be better than MJ. The guy dominated his competition like no other. But he never made it to the NBA. He ended up taking drugs while he was in college and also became a father at a young age. Pretty much he got stuck up in the bad side of NY. But he was maybe the best basketball player ever.Kareem Abdul Jabar and Wilt Chamberlin both called him the greatest player ever.

Keon Clark: I remember him in Toronto. He was a beast on the boards and the blocks. Him, VC, Antonio Davis, Alvin Williams, Junkyard Dog, and Morris Peterson. The team that beat the Knicks and lost to the Bucks and their amazing trio in 7 games.
