CJ as part of a trade for Cousins?

  1. HELL no!

  2. Fuck yeah!

    46.9%
  3. There is no way that such a trade would be possible without trading half the roster

As long as he wants to sign an extension, hell yes. Cj and lillard are too similar. I love them both, but gsw went through something similar with ellis and curry. Cj is better than ellis, but curry is better than lillard.

We arent trading lillard. Cj and dame are too similar and both are not good at defense.

We need an elite big. Cousins is an elite big.

If lillard signs off on it, so do i. Dame and cousins seem close.

So why even try going after star player then? Seems to me like smaller market teams should be content being an NBA development team for larger markets.

I wouldn't trade Pat Connaughton for Cousins.

This isn't already the case? We can dream... but year after year stars from smaller market teams keep leaving for greener pastures while we're left overpaying for whats left.

If Cousins is a lock to stay, yeah. However we would need to make another deal to get another guard who can handle the ball. Maybe someone like Cory Joesph or Terry Rozier.

This pole is too vague to answer. The thread title is CJ for Cousins. Is it JUST CJ for Cousins? If so, then we do it and do it NOW!

But then the OP question is PART of a trade. Well that's a HUGE X factor that you need to provide answers/player inclusions to complete the question. As "Part" of a trade, well what is/are the other parts?
That must be defined before anyone can really provide a quality answer... at least for me.

Guys put up huge numbers on bad teams a lot; I'm not sure the grass is greener. I mean, why is Sacto losing so much with so great a player and with decent supporting cast?

Do they have a decent supporting cast? Gay is a good player, Collison is not terrible but not even a top 15 point guard in the league. The rest is quite poor.

Afflalo, Barnes, and Lawson are decent. Barnes a little on the older side. Lawson was pretty much the man in Denver on surprisingly good teams.

Anybody think Cousins, is better than Aldridge ever was?

    I do.

Dame, and Cousins... that would be a monster duo.. Harkless is turning into a beast. Surround them with our current role players. Maybe a tweak here or there. That's better than the 2014 team when Wes went down, and Aldridge tore that ligament.

I seriously thought that team was a dark horse contender for the championship. We matched up well with everyone.

And dame is way better now, than he was back then.

Like, not even the same player, he's so much better now, than 2 years ago.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If Cousins was interested in being in Portland, then definitely. If he was not interested or even ambivalent, then definitely not.

    Basically, this.

However, I'd add a certain Boston fan's idea (ahem) that we include Turner for Gay.

    Lillard
    Crabbe
    Gay
    Aminu
    Cousins

Of course, then our Gay Cousins would have Crabbes....

You've taken it too far, so I will go even farther :)

High on Aminu Acids, a Dame and her Gay Cousins got the Crabbes... and that's just the Starters!

I voted no because I think Cousins is one of those "team cancer" players. He's got all the skills to be the best in the game at his position, yet the space between his ears prohibits him from leading a winning organization.
