Heh. I could have sworn Saudi Arabia's money was evil and tainted with the sins of a repressive regime. At least that's what we heard during the campaign. barfo
It is and tainted with the tears of the left. I would argue they definitely grabbed Obama by his pussy.
Nothing specific yet. It's a commitment to invest in America, so what they invest in depends on what they believe will get the most bang for their buck. I suspect more negotiations will take place.
Damn Denny, for a guy who didn't vote for Donny, you sure are a sore winner. Pointing out the that the jobs don't yet exist has nothing to do with losing and crying. Just a simple statement of the actual facts. Seems that gloating is a tad bit premature don't you think? Commitments are made and broken every day.....
Seems to me a lot of people are rooting for failure. That is being a sore loser. In business, you generate sales by following up on leads. Sure, you may not close them all, but you don't close any if you don't try. Why so upset about good news?
They're just grabbing at anything now. Flailing as they fall down the hole left by the shitty Democratic failure. Evident as they lash out at every single one of Trump's picks, and actions.
I wondered why there was no response to this for several hours (12:02 to 3:25) People were waiting for the talking points/spin.
Ummm......I didn't say I was upset. I actually said it sounded good. I just won't believe it until I've seen it. I mean, it's not like a politician has ever lied to the American people, right? It's just too bad we can't seem to get American companies to invest in America like the Asians and Arabs seem willing to do. If Trump can actually fix that without giving away the farm, then he will have my utmost respect. Until then (and until the jobs actually show up) it's all still just a fart in the wind.......save the happy dancing for when it's actually a done deal.
Trump stood there with the head of SoftBank, side by side, and made this announcement. We sent $$$ overseas for oil for decades. Now that money is coming back. The Arabs do need to diversify. We're sending out vast sums of money in interest payments on our debt and that money is coming back, too. It's going to take making the business environment conducive to investment in the US. There's been a decades long war against business, it's not surprising they act like they do.
It's not good news or success that upsets people.....I haven't heard anyone really root for him to fail....It's not like there's a choice..but I've just been through about 8 years of really over the top Obama bashing.....that door swings both ways...so far, he's done 3 things I like and about 200 things I don't....not really an even scoreboard but time will tell
He's bragging about bringing in new jobs. Something that benefits a middle class the failing democrats used to work for. Now if the tens of millions of Saudi money to Clinton actually produced jobs in America, she might have won the election. The old hag just didn't have the vision to tap in the pulse of America. Maybe next time.
I'm surprised at what he's done already. He's not spending taxpayer money. No $trillion emergency spending bill. It is private sector money. $57B plus Carrier's payroll. It's like the guy has more of a clue than I expected. "Winning" is exactly what it is. We'll see if he fucks with his promised social agenda. His voters repeatedly said they didn't expect him to follow through on the worst of it.
