Good luck finding that guy. Lillards don't grow on trees.

They've been looking for that guy for 13 years. They's blown several lottery picks on PGs that can't shoot and also brought it a ton of mediocre veterans to run the point. The last time they had a PG that averaged more than 13.5 ppg was 14 years ago (Sam Cassell).

More recently, they've struggled to find a PG that can average double digits. This year Rubio has started 15 games and is averaging 6.5 ppg (and his career high was 10.7 ppg four years ago). Dunn has started the other 5 and is averaging 3.7 ppg.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, in today's NBA you can't win if the guy who runs your offense isn't a threat to score.

Just to put that in terms Blazers fans can relate to:

The last time the Minnesota Timberwolves had a decent scoring PG (34-year old Sam Cassell), Brandon Roy was a sophomore at the University of Washington.

No doubt. And even getting someone close is hard to do. Those type of guys are gold in the NBA these days. Which is why I would not trade CJ for a big. We always need one on the floor.

They'll be RFA's, not UFA's. Unless any one of those guys takes a QO, they've basically got them all for another 6-7 years after this one.
