It's ESPN and MLB Network that have this love fest for the Red Sox, especially that Idiot Kevin Millar.

    ^^^^ xlnt point Michael...

makes me think of the days (daze) of the 71 O's.....Four 20 game winner's, and they couldn't put away the likes of Clemente and Co. in the W.S. Roberto hit .414 and garnered the W.S. MVP, as everyone knows.....

Never a prob Major (Frank isn't it???).... seriously, I never took offense at all, hope I wasn't sounding sarcastic. I can at times, but definitely meant no offense. I appreciate the open forum of ideas, and that was not a bad idea. In fact, Sale I'd loved to of seen in Pinstripes any day, even with that inverted "W" pro-nation, shades of RJ-...~!~:blazerwookie:

I have no prob seeing Chapman ink a 5 yr; not sure on 6. As the years pass, how much velocity and/or accuracy, will Aroldis lose on his fastball, due to age, (forbid arm troubles), I wonder how many mph he will still throw; say - 99mph at 35/36 yrs of age? 98? The million dollar question for any pitcher, eh, 'will he stay healthy'.....

How old are ya' MB- (no need for numbers) other than >50/ >60/ >70 ? Me, I've got 6 decades, and numerous other lives too. .....born a Yanx Fan, as we all were, die one too....:tiphat: Now 59, he's got lava rock for his birthstone....:oldman: ah shit, that was our MIA/Rick....

Rob I heard that Chapman received a 92 Mill. offer don't know from who yet. You are as old as you feel, and you my friend are definately not an old Geezer like Rick.

thanks Lillie, definitely, as I've long been saying: if you and no one else knew how old you were, then how old would you be??? A young heart makes for a young(er) fresh outlook. I'll take that, not old, and the most important of all: and not a Geezer, .... :bgrin: :smiley-beerchug:  :drinkapint: then- it's:tornado::breakdance:

Sometimes we all feel like Geezers, even at my ripe age of 47, but you know I have always learned is that friends keep you young.

especially when they don't ditch you, for what? When all you've done is enjoy their company, via the net, and give back in return from your heart. "The greatest gift is a portion of thyself." (R.W. Emerson).

Yet, those who show up at funeral's (as 59 always says) to speak well about one, whom they never visit, or speak of or to, when alive, to paraphrase somewhat. Brotherhood, sisterhood, the whole yadda da hood,

I should send you a PM on this, I might if I can stay awake without the help of my tommy tippee mug.
no wonder he's got all those "Jesus tap dancing christ's" video's back then, several thousand years ago, may also explain his mind control. I hear 59 feeds his Okra steroids he gets from Tote. His Okra is the size of Lou Ferrigno's forearms. That was 59 who played Hulk, painted green in those old 70's shows! I've read, 59's gonna' re=boot his: "Popeye" movie ? The hero who consumed every type of greens, incl. those other Green's, the 4.20 rare greens, great for making flying burrito's.....

I also heard from solid reputable, I mean refutable-sources 59's making a comeback to re-boot a role as Jackie Gleason as "Smoky" in the new screenplay he's writing for release soon. "Smoky is the Bandit" - aka "The Ganja Moonshine Wars" the real story of the Hatfields and McCoys..............but that' still in filming on location.....

^^^^ I think i went straight from puberty to past my prime....

My son has ensured we've had "Amazon Prime" over the years; but, I don't feel any younger.

I just found out the infamous great epic Mossy Creek Festival closed down after 34 yrs in 015, now that's sad. What happened, was the economy going sour, or price of vendor's travels, costs of goods, vs those buying, off kilter like most of the nations tanked economy, as of the last 8...

that- great Georgia crisp air, woods, plenty of greenery, always that down home feel. Where people are real; when they ask how are ya'a doing, they really want' to know, offended if you say ok, and keep walking, an insult to those who call Georgia, and most of the South home, and have manners beyond city dwelling monsters who have no clue what rural or southern, hell common sense manners are.

topped with plenty of some of the most soul soothing of foods/feasts; and culinary skills, found in many a home cooks BBQ, Kitchen or Bakery. 2nd to none, every bit as festive as a Cajun/Creole Mardi Gras....then some, when it comes to the Big Pig Jig.....

getting back on track to Sale, and Moncada. Regardless of how much a weapon Moncada turn's out to be, I really doubt the South siders have what it takes to ever put together another W.S. contender. Moncada could be the type of player a team should be built around???? But, I just do NOT see it, ....the pale hose go nowhere fast, esp not without Sale....

& believe he'd be better off on a Team more in sight with America's crosshairs of fans. After last years Future's All star game, I found this on the Bosox, and Moncada, on a net site: "For The Win"

This man is very strong and very fast and he’s probably very good at baseball. The Red Sox have too many good young position players right now. Where are they even going to put him?
    Doh-:hcp:

I'd of never offered the kid more than 20 Mil to sign
, still not sure what his salary is, tho' it looks like Chicago agreed to eat it all. Actually, I don't always care to get into bid wars over young players still yet to fully come of age, tho' sounds like he has already.

after re-reading last feb. 23rd's article on Moncada signing:
Moncada will receive a $31.5 million signing bonus, which means the Red Sox will have to pay a 100 percent tax for exceeding their international bonus pool money and their cost will be $63 million to sign the Cuban infielder.

Heyman reported the Yankees offered Moncada $25 million, and were willing to go as high as $27 million.
