Okay, so we all know the story Kasich tells about how one of the Trump children (I forget which, I think it was the Herman Munster one who used to piss himself) called him up and offered him the chance to be "the most powerful VP in history," in charge of policy and basically everything, while Trump Sr. went about the business of "Making America Great Again". But now it looks like they were actually serious. I mean, we know The Donald has the attention span of a gnat, and can't be bothered to go to security briefings, and now his bizarre Victory-sorry-we-mean-Thank-You-Tour, where they're still chanting "Lock Her Up" despite him saying that was all a big joke? Why are we acting like he's not doing what he should be doing (i.e., actually preparing to be President)? I mean, people always said he didn't want to win, and I don't think that's right - he DID desperately want to WIN, he just didn't care about the part about that meaning he had to be President. And he also obviously gets a huge kick out of tweeting about Boeing and watching their stock tank, because that's power, right? But he really doesn't give a shit about anything except making money. If he cared about being President (you know, because he's 70 and this is supposed to be the most important thing in any American's life, so you should take it more seriously than anything you've ever done) he would actually divest himself of his businesses. But instead, he sees the presidency as a way to make money. I think a lot of otherwise sane people (Trump haters, both right and left) think that he's going to be impeached as a result. But I think that's naive. Republicans control both houses and all the anti-Trumpers have now realized that what's happened is they slapped a popular reality TV star on the front of their unpopular party and he got them elected, and now they get to govern pretty much unimpeded! And the best thing is, their ACTUAL president, Mike Pence, is so extreme conservative that he wouldn't even have won reelection in fucking INDIANA, but now he's the most powerful person in the country. That's why people like Paul Ryan won't even say that it's a lie that 3 million illegals voted because, why should he rock the boat? All they have to do is let Donald be Donald, flatter him repeatedly, and they get to do whatever they want. It's not like Trump voters care what happens - all they care about is the WINNING, as we can see here: Trump critics - tell me I'm wrong? (Trump voters, don't bother - I won't see your posts anyway.)
I guess this is a somewhat contrary view (about Trump voters, not about Pence being the real president): www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/12/7/13854512/who-are-trump-supporters
Well, the important thing is that guys like you remain open minded like this and wait to see what actually happens before going all negative.
When should we start caring, according to you? Why doesn't who he picks as cabinet members count, for example? Or the fact that he's not taking security briefings? Although, your logic does explain why we get such minimal coverage of policy in the campaigns, because apparently what you campaign on is totally irrelevant to how you will govern and anybody who judges a candidate on what they say is stupid. I look forward to our future presidential candidates Taylor Swift and some-guy-from-a-viral-YouTube-video.
If you were to straighten your underwear out, sit down and just breathe for a minute, you might remember that I have been anti-Trump from the beginning. Sure, I was also anti-Hillary, but that just shows that I have the ability to discern bullshit when it's being shoved my way. The fact that I think Trump is ultimately going to crash and burn doesn't mean that I'm hoping for it or inventing crazy little scenarios in my head about how awful he's going to be. I'm going to watch and comment as events happen.
He won't see it. He has everyone on ignore anyway. Being allowed to post in OT should have a requirement that you can't put more than one person on ignore. I'm tempted to put a certain sissypants on ignore and see what the OT page looks like without 30 percent of the topics (also known as crybaby bitch topics) I don't give a flying fuck which side of this election you were for, putting everyone who voted for one of them on ignore is absolutely like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Such a pussy thing to do (sorry for the sexism or misogyny..waaaa)
Oh I didn't know that he had us all on ignore. LOL. Ahhh well... the meltdown is still fun to witness.
I don't care if he starts 1,000,000 anti trump threads. I am amused, still, by how butt hurt the losers are.
The funny thing about the losers is them being losers is only between their ears. If Trump continues bringing in big deals, everyone is going to win.
Is it therapy? Start a billion whiny threads and then ignore responses...... whatever floats his boat.
Reminds me of this little guy I knew who was married to my sister's friend. She was a big round girl married to a little psychopath who abused her. One time he did it at my house and I was going to grab him and throw him out and he fell to the floor and curled up in the fetal position. Fucking pathetic.
---BREAKING--- Trump ate a steak sandwich that from a restaurant that a white supremacist ate in 40 years ago. Will this be a trend that Trump's racist urges will overshadow his choice of tax shelters?
Also, the consumption of steak demonstrates his contempt for environmental concerns since cattle ranching causes clear-cutting and enormous methane production.
Economics is only part of the equation for me. I'm keenly interested to see how he handles the rampant spying the government has been doing to Americans under the last two presidents. Will he double down on forcing journalists to reveal sources on pain of imprisonment. Is Jeff Sessions going to double-down on the disastrous drug policy we've had since Nixon? No matter how prosperous some people might be, will it matter if we're less free at the end of his first four years?
