We need him to play like this every night, because our bench isn't as deep as the average NBA fan would think. The Lakers are also a deadly 3 pt shooting team, with guys like Radmonovic, Vujacic, Farmar, etc. Hayes isn't that bad of a perimeter defender, and if I were Eddie Jordan I'd put him on Vlad Rad at some point during the game.Los Angeles Lakers Starting LineupPG Smush Parker Stats: 11.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, and 2.3 apgSG Kobe Bryant Stats: 28.8 ppg, 5.6 apg, and 5.5 rpgSF Lamar Odom Stats: 17.3 ppg, 8.7 rpg, and 4.3 apgPF Vladimir Radmanovic Stats: 6.8 ppg, and 3.3 rpgC Andrew Bynum Stats: 8.3 ppg, and 6.4 rpgKey Player off the Bench for Los AngelesBrian Cook Stats: 7.4 ppg, and 3.5 rpgCook was quiet overall for the Lakers last game against Washington, but hit a HUGE shot to send the game into overtime, which game LA another chance to win the ball game. The player rivalry between Kobe Bryant and Gilbert Arenas will even spark up more during this game, hopefully. The Lakers are not the only ones who want revenge, as does Arenas, who heard Kobe saying that Gilbert "doesn't have a conscience", referring to Gil's 32 shots. Hopefully, this will be a great game and it's sold out, but I hope the Wizards win but I honestly don't know if Jamison is out. They also have Odom back from his injury. P.S. Darius Songaila may play in this game! 5-10 minutes is likely for him, but I just want him to get in the groove. Go Wizards! :dribble:
This should be a great game as both the teams look like they are at full strength besides the fact the Antwan Jamison is out for the Wizards and Kwame Brown is out for the Lakers. The Lakers just came off a bad loss to the Indiana Pacers where they blew a big fourth quarter lead and could never regain it in the end. The Wizards though have been playing well and are the number 1 seed in the Eastern conference. The abscence of Jamison will hurt them as they lose 19 ppg and 8 rpg but I expect Jarvis Hayes and Calvin Booth to be able to step up for the injured Jamison. I expect Washington to pull out a close one as they are at home.
I agree this should be a good game hopefully we can bounce back from the loss against Indiana last night even though I think we still should have won that game but if the Lakers have any chance of winning we need to shut down Arenas.
What an embarrassing team effort by the Wizards.. no defense, whatsoever. Turnovers killed us from the beginning, and Lakers were just the much better team tonight. We are barely a .500 ball club without Antawn Jamison. I'm really disappointed in Gil so far. He needs to shut up and play like he did back in December, because so far in 2007 he's been playing like horseshit. Stevenson really picked up the slack tonight, good job by him. Caron got no love from the refs at all, and that just affected his game mentally. His jumper seems like it's been off the past couple weeks, as well. Haywood did alright, but once again he barely played in the 4th quarter. Stupid Eddie Jordan sticks with Etan who just has no idea what the F*ck is going on. Hayes obviously didn't really do sh*t. As for the bench, Blatche did a pretty good job, finishing with 7 points and 5 rebounds. The one play where Odom abused him was obviously not called by the refs. Daniels was sub-par, and Songaila did alright, considering what he did in 10 minutes of play. He had a tip-in earlier in the 1st half, and then he had a pretty assist to Donell Taylor in the paint. I know we've only lost two straight and all but it seems like five straight to me. Maybe it's just because the f*cking Raptors once again torched us on their homecourt and that we just show no heart against (Kobe) the Lakers on our homecourt. I don't care if Jamison is out or not, our supporting cast needs to step up otherwise. We better beat the sh*t out of Seattle on Monday.

Brendan and AD both got fouled twice with no call. Dray stuffed the sh*t out of Smush and got called for a foul. Kobe, Lamar, and Vlad all took at least three steps on all their FGs and didn't get it called (instead they went to the line to shoot two (?)). DeShawn got nailed by Kobe and then the Lakers got the ball back. All this went into the Wizards' minds and could not get over it.This should be our depth chartG - Arenas / Taylor / Mason / RefsSG - Stevenson / Daniels / RefsSF - Butler / Hayes / Refs PF - Blatche / Songaila / RefsC - Haywood / Booth / Thomas / RefsEddie, you fu*kin' all-star, do you know what defense is?
Ming, you are one of the most annoying members on this site. That happenned like 3 weeks ago and you are still talking about it. Your arguement for that in the first place was retarted, and you are acting like you are smart. Just stop....Hell, how do you expect the Wizards to even win when their two best players shoot below 33 percent, AND they are without their 3rd best player. You give up 118 points, AND you shoot more free throw attempts than the other team.....I didnt watch the game, but that doesn't sound like you got screwed by the refs on this one. Its just because the Wizards are a mediocre team at best without Jamison.

Giving up points don't have that much meaning, if you're a team that likes to score a lot like the Wizards. The Lakers scored 141 against us, the Suns scored 144 against us, the Wizards just play point-for-point.
QUOTE

and you are acting like you are smart.
Smart as in bball intellectual smart or trying to be sarcastic smart? Jesus...Arenas was getting to foul line like wade last night. That 4 point play was not a foul on Kobe either. Agent Zero if you are refering to when Arenas would drive in and initiate ALL the contact and run into Bynum etc. That is not a foul because HE initiated the contact. Kobe got fouled numerous times and there were no calls as was Butler on a few occasions but Arenas was definitely getting his share of the calls. As far as one on one matchups Kobe clearly won as apposed to last time the Lakers played the Wizards when Arenas scored 60. Arenas shot pretty bad from the field and Kobe shot over 50 percent from the field. Good game in general and I'm glad that we were able to close it out in the end.
Shame they lost yesterday. I just dont understand Arenas sometimes, he is having a bad shooting night mostly from the three point line and still keeps shooting when he should have gone more inside if he was getting the calls. With Jamison out he can't afford to take that many threes and is too good to be taking them.
Bad loss for the Wizards as they lost to the Lakers 118-102. Gilbert Arenas had a good game with 37 points but Kobe killed the Wizards with 39 who they couldn't seem to stop all night and as you can see in the score their defense really sucked. The abscence of Jamison really hurt them too though as they had to start Jarvis Hayes and Caron Butler had a good overall game with 15 points 10 rebounds and 7 assists but his scoring was not where it usually is. The Wizards are going to have to find a way to start winning some games w/o Jamison because he will be out for a while.

He took horrible shots and no-one on his team got into any type of rhythm.
No I mean 15 points 10 rebounds and 7 assists is a horrible game I mean how much worse can it get. Just because Caron didn't score like he usually does doesn't mean he had a bad game. Scoring isn't everything and he showed that.
