Pretty much. He was a hero to me when I was growing up. All the astronauts were, but him moreso. He died at 95. 10 years past the ObamaCare expiration date.
For kids like me,he was the Beatles before the Beatles ever existed. What an awesome hero to have as a kid. God bless a truly great man.

He was a hero.....amazing to me that he was visiting Antarctica just days ago....he lived a rich, full life and was all heart...95 is quite a milestone and he had many!
