and I bet the board sits back and says: 'gee golly, we wonder why, and have no clue'. We've all been saying it since the daze of the Bullshit Sports Programming Network Msg Board; as one homer after another enters but doesn't leave quick enough, eg Joe fkng Morgan, Harold Reynolds, or the asswipe Rick Suckcliffe. RS should of been fired the very day HR was, for sexual innuendo on air, during a Yanx-Ranger's game, towards who- ? Aaron Andrews.. and now the MLB channel and many others, Fox, suffer a similar fate. Tho' Rose and A-Roid imo, are the worst of all.
I haven't watched ESPN in years, Their Message Board no longer exists as far as I can see. Hardly anyone posts their anymore.
ESPN Baseball Broadcast Team is almost as bad as the Tampa Bay Rays crew. Brett Boone may have hit that bomb in '03 but has since become a Boston Homer. MLB Staff calls a better game but the regular programming has gone down the tubes. Harold Reynolds, Eric Burns, and Amsinger (SP are total flakes. The only MLB Programming I watch now is Quick Pitch.
...still can't believe they actually charge people to be an "Insider" in order to be able to read the drivel they churn out.
^^^^^ Quick Pitch works for me as well. Al Leiter, Ron Darling, these are the two I prefer, not Plesac, or several others. MLB has some great MLB guests on, rather analysts, from Verducci, to Rosenthal, while Mad Dog can eat the ass out of a racoon... I recall sitting on Montecito beach on Sept. 15, 1987 with my wife on a 2nd honeymooon, and having to get up to go watch the Yanx and Leiter's debut; highly scouted, touted, then they had to go and trade the premium southpaw for Jesse Barfield....doh
Amsinger, that asshole thinks he knows more the the people who actually plays the game. I enjoy Leiter and Darling myself, really enjoyed Darrell Hamilton because he talked to the fans in a manner that they knew they were credited for intelligence. Pleasac, another loose cannon and lets not forget Brian Kenny pseudo intellectual extraordinaire.
