Well, if you have to travel up to 2.5 miles to walk around the end of the wall, that's certainly going to be effective. No one has ever been known to travel that sort of distance before.

It's not about keeping people out, it's about making them cross where they don't end up in the desert. I don't want the people to die.

5 miles may not be long enough, but the point remains.

I still don't know what to make of Trump. I'm sure he said a lot of things during the campaign to help him get elected, but positions he's not particularly wed to.

Like he's mentioned he might be open to fixing ObamaCare vs. repealing it. Though he's more recently talked about repeal and replace, but I think that may be the art of the deal with republicans in congress to get some of his agenda passed.

He's definitely doing some outreach to democrats. He's interviewed some as if for administration roles. He may be lobbying them for support for his agenda. He met with Al Gore.

He's seriously considering Mitt Romney, a liberal Republican for State. He's also considering Jon Huntsman, who served in the Obama administration.

Some of his agenda items are actually favorable to democrats. Chucky Schumer has said he's willing to work with Trump on some big issues, like infrastructure spending.

He doesn't come across as a hardline right winger. He doesn't thump the bible, and actually may be atheist or agnostic. See this article.

He's not out there touting massive cuts in government. In fact, he is talking about some pretty big new government spending. He seems to be fine with government being the solution to the problem, at least some of the time.

It remains to be seen who he'll nominate to replace Scalia on the Supreme Court.

I think Obamacare has always been a "Repeal and Replace" but he's always said that he wants to keep some parts of it like the Child to 25 and pre-existing conditions. I agree that most of his rhetoric is very negotiable and "Art of the Deal." Go extreme and walk back to the position you wanted in the first place.

I do believe that his interest is to work with both sides of the aisle. To be honest, he copies a lot of the "Reagan's way of doing things." I think it would be wise to work with the left on infrastructure, especially since they've been trying to pass a spending bill for a long while. A lot on the left have great ideas, but don't have the skills to implement efficiently.

This maybe good news, IMO. Maybe this administration can set the tone for future political administrations and working with both sides of the political spectrum.

    Tired of winning, barfo?

Or you want to keep on losing. May as well, you've done that for the past several years :)
