Just got a notification in my iPad that the NBA and NBPA have come to an agreement on a new CBA. Yay!

I'm not surprised. There weren't issues both sides were so far apart on that a labor peace couldn't be reached. Both NBA and MLB seems to have figured out a lockout doesn't help anybody. As for the NFL..... Well- :jerry:

Didn't sound like there was enough support on the owners side for the amnesty clause to make it to this new contract. I'm sure Paul Allen was pushing hard for it.

Thats who you would cut? God no. Turner and crabbe are paid twice as much as him. At least Meyers is a big. Bigs get paid.

I don't think we have any assets we'd be better off amnestying than keeping or trading so it's all good

    Breaking News!

The owners will now have to pay the player's salaries instead of the fans, so we won't have to bitch about what players make anymore!

I like the extension rule. If a player does not extend, they have a year to get value.

I like that you can carry 17 players on a roster...they make different salaries when they are playing D league from when they are called up....this is a great step!

The under 38 is going to make things real interesting. With all of the crazy money being thrown around, this gives the owners another tool to hang themselves with.

Who is going to be smart enough to get value for a vet before they become an anchor that sinks their franchise?

Will be curious if this results in anything. We have not had much luck with the D league but a few teams like Miami and Houston have.

I've seem this happen in baseball all the time. Luckily enough they raised the luxury tax so high that only the Dodgers seem to want to play dangerous. But it'll be cool to see which franchise
signs the NBA equivalent of the Jacob Ellsbury deal. With the way the hard cap in the NBA is, some team will literally be stuck paying a guy NOT to play.

Of the changes I've read in this thread, I like...not a one. Now, inescapable mistake contracts will be even longer.

Are there any changes that help the fans?
