Not really, it takes a lot of talent to make your sound flow perfectly with the beat. I'm not going to debate about this, it's common sense. If you want to make money as an artist, you need to put out mainstream music. You guys can continue to post, I'm not going to respond.
Okay, I'm not the biggest rap fan and hate the majority of rap artists, so I'm just going to list the few rappers that I like. Also, please read everything I wrote, becuase I'm sure someone will start telling me I'm stupid for not likiing these rappers when I plainly state in the previous sentence what I'm doing. Please prove me wrong. NasKanye WestEminemDr. DreJay-Z2pacI pretty much dont like anyone else.
I hope you meant the old EminemAlotve rappers like UNK, Dem Franchise Boys etc etc. only get air time because of other artists and successful like Lil Scrappy and TI brought them up. But really, if you supposedly hate south rap.....please pick up some old UGK, old 36, SOME Yo Gotti, hell...even go for Pimp C. Kinfolk..Playa Fly, come on.......

Maintstream rappers... there are a few that are actually good, but its true.. its about the money, and I doubt some of them could care less what others think. It's not just a HOT BEAT in some cases. NEver underrate the people responsible for the MARKETING of the paticular artists and the steps they make before the artist even comes out. In some cases though it is the beat. Not sayin I like this but hell if I could get a hot beat put some stupid repetitive flow that gets into the mind of us young nigs, im there.

That's respectable to me. I just won't listen to them in my spare time.
not all mainstream is out to get the dough...alotve them become mainstream just from being that good. Then again, rappers such as Chamillionare, UGK, 36, TI all were underground and decided to go mainstream...which they all did very easily almost on will.

I didn't mean each and every mainstream rapper anyways.
Sometimes I think the whole mainstream vs 'real' rap argument is awfully repetitive and boring. But yeah, I listen to mainstream..don't really care if it "takes no talent" or whatever..I just like mainstream as much as I like 'real' rap.But back on topic...I don't really care for Bow Wow.

Most of the mainstream rap I hate is the stuff that people go around rapping and trying to be cool. Like We Fly High especially. Goin Down by Young Joc also gets on my nerves. No, not all mainstream rap is sh*tty.
Dude I guarantee in a rap battle emenim would tear anyone you threw at em up. He is the best rapper ever.

A guy who would kill literally anyone in a freestyle battle would be Big L.
Ain't feelin the new 50. He don't deliver the way he did when he was still hungry. Cassidy's a beast, but the way he went from singing with R. Kelly, to rappin with The Game. Nope go back 2 RnB. I do hope he recovers well from that accident thou.Mims: No talent whatsoever. Until I hear the rest of his album, he's trash. Dike Jones - LMFAO, Chamillionaire killed his assFranchise boyz, Unk. There's A LOT more, I just can't think ATMHating mainstream rappers is plain stupid. Yeah, most of them is trash, but some of them still come off hard, not on that bubblegum sh*t.
This topic maddd old, but I gotta put in my two cents.I see a lot hate on 50 and G-Unit here, but I can't agree with that. Yes, they aren't as good as others, however, they aren't nearly as bad as:MimsRich Boy (throws some D's on it!?!? wtf!?!)Yung JocYoung DroDem Franchise BoyzJim JonesDipset entirely except Juelz which I can only standAkonThree 6 MafiaI could easily go on.That being said, my top 5 is1. Nas2. Eminem3. Tupac4. Jay-Z5. Combo of Meth & RedHowever, the top 5 that I listen to are1. Eminem2. 50 Cent3. The Game4. Lloyd Banks5. Dr. Dre / T.I.
I was about to flame about you putting 36 Mafia....but I noticed that you put 50 cent as a favorite, so your opinion doesn't matter to me...lol.btw, Throw some Ds on it is a slang term
I realize, but that song takes zero skill to write, I could write that, a 5 year old could. And I lost all respect for 36 Mafia when they came out with Poppin' My Colla. That song is right up there with We Fly High and It's Goin Down. Then again, I really don't even hate them that much, I just hate that song, so I guess forget I ever listed them. lol
