I meant his regular contract. I'm an idiot, so I don't exactly know the rules about trading injured players.
Man what an amazing life for Ezeli. Free medical care, get paid 7M bucks for nothing, great rehab care He Fosho can't complain
This is why he refused to get on the plane without a contract. Not because he wanted to be in Portland, but because he needed a sucker to actually pay him...
Could we not see this problem from the physical we gave him? Why just dump $7 million? Were we duped somehow? I refuse to believe we were willing to pay $7 million and hope for a miracle that he could play, and I refuse to believe our medical staff is so inept they couldn't see the knee damage. I'm so confused.
It was a reasonable gamble by NO. It sucks, though. We really could use a healthy Ezeili, even if in limited minutes. I'm not sure if we used the injured player exception if it would put us over the LT.
There's a reason he only cost 7 million. I don't see the problem. It's not like his signing prevented the signing of some other center that could've potentially started or played a big role. It was a small one year gamble. It didn't work out. We move on.
Hey, now we can sign Cousins! Jaleel Cousins. http://basketball.realgm.com/player/Jaleel-Cousins/Summary/73054
I agree in taking the gamble if there was actually a small chance he could of played, but now with no chance he plays, was this not foreseeable? Or did we just have our head in the sand?
