I'd do it. Mirotic and Noel would be a sweet deadline.

    CP3 NOH.

But even in those cases the team didn't jerk around their own player and refuse to play him. This is the opposite of showcasing a player to maximuize his trade value.

The messed up thing is I think an Embiid- Noel duo would work better than Embiid-okafor.

Maybe thats what they're considering as they showcase Okafor.

Is his defense boosted by the other 4 players he plays with or does he contribute to it?

BroLo seems like he'd be an ideal fit with Terry's system. I just don't see us prying him from Brooklyn.

He's big and rebounds. If you don't give up 2nd chances, you give up less points.

His on the ball defense is plenty good enough.

    He's 6'10", 220 lbs.

Mirotic is pretty much Leonard on his best day.

I'm willing to go with 2016-17 being an outlier. He's playing at SF much of the time, and he's really not happy with that. The team is unhappy with him. He is something of a head case. He's signed to a $7.5M-ish contract - not great in today's CBA.

If he performs like his first two seasons, he'd be a score. Especially since we could give him all the minutes he could handle.

Hes shooting 38% from the field this year and has never shot better than 40 in his 3 yrs. Not so sure about that

He shot nearly 40 from deep last season, and he takes a lot more shots and has/had a bigger role than Leonard. Most of Leonards shots are wide open catch and shoot looks

    Ok how about this

    To Portland:
    Nerlens Noel

    To Philadelphia:
    2017 protected first rounder
    2018 second rounder
    Ezeli
    Connaughton

Philly gets a first for Noel and a second for absorbing Ezeli. We throw in connaughton for shits, maybe he gets a chance to play in philly, they need perimeter shooting anyway.

Then let Neil scout the Dleague for some talent to fill out the roster. Maybe he finds another Frazier, and we actually keep them around this time.

I think Noel for Crabbe makes more sense for both teams. PHI needs outside shooting and they need it now. They are far enough under the cap to absorb the difference in salaries, even if Crabbe doesn't waive his trade kicker.

Ezeli's contract is a team option for next year. He's essentially an expiriing contract. No need to pay PHI to take him off our hands. Shedding Crabbe's salary combined with declining Ezeli's option gives us a lot more flexibility to resign Noel and/or Plumlee next summer without going into serious luxury tax territory.

I am not sure if NO wants to put all his muscle into one swing of the bat, but if he did, I'm on board. Problem is how are you paying all those guys?
Plumlee is gonna get paid, Whiteside, CJ and Dame are all maxed out. Dragic will make more than Crabbe and.or Turner. Sorry. Even with the new CBA predictions, I don't think there is enough money to go around. Harkless is gonna get paid in a few as well.

Right, but then how do you pay Plumlee and eventually Harkless? In two years, if Harkless even keeps up his recent play, he will get double what he is making now. Easily. Napier will wants some more, etc.

Harkless signed a 4-year contract and we don't need Napier.
