Will the Knicks make the playoffs? Right now, 21-28. So, will the end up making it as a 7th or 8th seed?
No, not with Isiah Thomas as the coach of the team they have improved this year a lot from last year but they still have some gaps to fill. Now Thomas is putting Jerome James in for Channing Frye and I don't know how that will go.
I don't really see them making the playoffs. And I believe that only one team in the Atlantic will make it to the playoffs, which is the division leader. I don't really see a team in this division getting the 8th or 7th spot. But they did improve from last season. A couple of trades will help the team. But the 1st thing is to do something with Francis. And I would like to see Balkman play more. He doesn't seem like a bad player, and I like his hustle.
with another nets loss the knicks gained more ground on this crappy team from across the river. only 2 games out of the playoffs behind miami. pretty sad since we're 7 games under .500. I don't want them to make the playoffs unless they start winning consistently. you don't deserve to be there if you can't win somewhat consistently. the nets are so bad. they just lost to the hawks and another game at the buzzer, this time from tyronn lue. gotta love every day this whack team loses. I can't stand the nets. what a disappointment they have been, even with the injuries to kristic and rj they should be winning more than they have been in the past. the knicks make the playoffs only if they starts to win on a consistent basis. obviously I want them to get there but I don't think they will. hopefully they prove me wrong but I don't expect that to happen.

A lot of their losses though have been by 1,2,3 points and they just haven't been able to come up in the clutch and that alone has cost them like 6 wins most likely. The Knicks won't catch the Heat either Shaq is starting to find his rhythm and when they get the chemistry back between them they will start playing good once again.

I hate the nets so me calling them a crappy team is me being a little bias. I said tho despite the injuries they still have a descent team, certainly better then their record indicates. jason kidd and vince carter in the same backcourt with marcus williams backing up kidd. that's a pretty good backcourt if you ask me. they played well yes and then they've blown HUGE leads. no excuse EVER to lose a game when you lead by 20. I don't care if you're the hawks or the suns. all those games that they lost at the buzzer they blew some pretty hefty leads. as bad as the knicks are they don't do that. when they have a big lead they actually keep it.
The problem with the Knicks is they can't win two in a row. They can't get any type of momentum. And if they do get two in a row, FORGET three in a row jesus...that's asking wayy too much.

I love the Knicks to death. I really don't see them making it to the playoffs unless they show some heart and get their act together. Sometimes the way they play hurst just to watch it. I really hope they make it. It's going to be tuff.
yeah I think half of the problem with consistancy is self belief. I think a playoff series and even win a playoff game would help with that belief. They have the talent! Just need to know they can win everynight!
I see the only team that makes the playoffs from this division is who ever wins it. Saying that, I think its pointless for any of the teams to make it. Lets be honest, the Nets are not going anywhere with Kristic. I dont care Jefferson or not, we wont go anywhere. The Knicks and Raptors, I dont see the point of making it either. None of these 3 teams will cause any damage what so ever
the knicks will need to make a serious run to make the playoffs. the bottom of the east is somewhat respectable now and I think the 8th seed is going to have to have at least 40 wins. we all know when shaq is healthy the heat are not gonna be in the dungeon for long. so if the knicks want to make it they need to make a big run now. but in all seriousness I still don't think they can do it. if they can play like they did against the clippers in the 2nd half, I don't see any team that can beat them but of course it was only a half of basketball. malik rose said something about how the guys get too confident after wins. they don't focus all the time.
Huge game for the knicks is against Utah. We need to show we can beat quality teams, and quality teams ON THE ROAD. If we get this win, it could be a huge momentum booster.

But this game could really could give us some momentum having to sweep an elite team in the league season series then we still have a few days to play the Lakers so that to can be another season sweep. Really giving us some momentum. Plus I looked ahead at the Nets & Raptors schedule.....its get way tougher for them. Even though the Raptors have been killing they have 4 games in a 5 day span. Ouch! then they have 8 games in a 15 day span with only two teams below .500. They can go down b/c of the stress & fatigue. The same with the Nets but they just been bearly beating the bad teams (Hawks, Celtics, 76ers) there schedule is going to get more difficult when March hits. But as for the Knicks they have an easier schedule but that gives me no reason to be laxed about there potential overtake of the Atlantic. They still need to prove themselves & with a win tonight against the Jazz can help them.

I do feel that the refs tend to be tuff on the Knicks. We don't get many if any calls in our favor in tight games. Favoritism for other teams over the Knicks?
