I think it's worth the gamble to offer CJ and maybe a filler piece like Meyers or whomever. Where is this team going otherwise? They aren't winning shit.
The technical probably should have stood (IMO) but it also shouldn't take away from the 'ridiculous', dominating performance he dropped on the Blazers. 55 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks shooting 60% from the field and 62% from '3'. I'll take that even if a few antics go with it. Better than watching the Blazers melt down night after night in a sometimes seemingly passionless effort. This team needs a little attitude.....WAY too nice.
No one will ever win a title with that clown. I know we've been down this "risk vs reward" argument with regard to "character" a billion times over the years as Blazers fans. I firmly stand by "fuck Cousins." I always will
And the Blazers will never win anything with what they've got. Maybe it would be a collosal failure (and I think it would be risky) but safe a'int gonna cut it. This roster needs a transformational talent. So it's either a gamble on a super talented headcase or gamble on tanking for a top lotto pick. Neither is a sure path to a title, but given their contract situation and Lillard's age, trading for Boogie is probably a higher percentage play.
Yeah, because that's what I want: someone who gets ejected, cries like a bitch, gets technicals, can't play defense, and spits at people. Yep. That's who I want alright......... Now, is it Blue or Green font for "sarcasm"?
Cousins is a douche bag. Why the hell would anyone want him on their team? His stats aren't worth the drama/distractions.
If you trust Dame as a leader, you make the trade. Otherwise, we continue with this 'Nice' Blazers team that would never offend anyone and will politely continue to lose games in every way imaginable. It's great that they are community oriented and such models of civil behavior but that won't fill the seats or produce ad revenue if they continue to lose games. Michael Jordan was a tyrannical jerk, hit teammates, cursed at them....and is beloved my most as the GOAT.
Obviously the majority of GM's in the league agree with me because the Kings have been trying to trade him for a long time and no other GM's want him.
actually the other GM's have been saying they are asking too much for him due to his issues, I am guessing there are far less than you would think saying no way they would trade anything for him.
That just means they haven't agreed on a price yet. Also, I'm guessing the Kings are probably still ambivalent about letting a talent like him go. There is always a taker for a guy that puts up 20/10, hits threes, is 7'1" and tilts the court like he does.
A lot of people were on the "fuck Sheed" train, too, but Pistons fans are probably glad their team traded for him. Like Wallace, Cousins doesn't seem like a malicious person to me. He seems like an overly emotional guy who's quick to feel insulted/put-upon. I certainly think you can work with a player like that and his talent is undeniable. Of course it's a risk--there's no "safe" path to a championship. You have to take risks at various points along the line and have them go in your favor. Winning titles is hard.
1. He didn't get ejected. 2.He didn't cry, Stotts cried more than him. 3.Everyone gets technicals, Draymond led the league in techs last year. 4.No one plays defense at Portland anyway. 5.He didn't spit, he talked trash to MeLy and his piece fell off. The pretty boy of the league (Steph Curry) threw his piece at a fan which is much worse. #Cousins2017.
