We need to tank for a high lotto pick.

CJ+Aminu+Ezeli expiring (I believe it's a team option) contract+ Top 8 protected 2017 1st round pick for Jabari Parker and John Henson? Would be a HUGE shake up though.

Call me a homer but I think CJ and Aminu's great contract has more value than that especially if we are the one giving the pick.

But doesn't matter though. CJ has less than 1% chance of being traded before this summer.

I think it's a fair price, Jabari is going to be the best player of the deal and Henson is locked up to a great contract and is basically Nerlens Noel.

The way we're playing, the 1st round pick might be a really good one.

I've really been impressed with Dieng's defense and scoring for the Wolves...the guy is a shot blocking beast with a decent stroke from midrange and plays hard on the defensive side of the court

Bogut would be ok, if we were one piece away, but we're not, so he's not. We need someone younger.

And if we're going for an older guy, I'd much rather have Tyson chandler.

I've mentioned his name several times in several threads. He would instantly help us at the 4/5 spots as he can play both.

I love Dieng, but why would Minnesota trade him?

Our 1st round pick is too high for him, IMO.

It's not like he's going to make us a championship contender, and he's not exactly young, or healthy much of the time.

Someone can sit behind Stotts and prod him with it whenver gets to complacent, or the Blazers start slacking on D

    Agreed 100%.

For those who consider Meyers Leonard untradeable, I have two words: Andrea Bargnani.

In the summer of 2013, immediately after the worst season of a rather lackluster career, Andrea Bargnani, who was making $11.8 million/year (and those are real, old-CBA, 2013 dollars, not 2016 funny money) was traded to the New York Knicks for the following:

    Marcus Camby
    Steve Novak
    Quentin Richardsom
    2014 2nd round pick
    2016 1st round pick
    2017 2nd round pick

For comparison, Meyers is currently making $9.2 million in 2016-17 dollars. And Bargnani was NOT an expiring contract, He had two full years left on that contract at the time of the trade.

This just proves that ANYONE is tradeable, and there is always someone dumb enough to overpay to take out your trash.

What about Asik for Leonard? It works salary wise, and Asik is reportedly on the block. Asik fits Stotts defensive scheme (for better or worse).

No, it's not. 10 mil is over 10% of the cap. Teams usually have 7 bench players and they starters get a lion's share of the overall team salary. So do the math, this statement is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

If we want to reshuffle, this would be great. All players should be available and gettable.

    Blazers Get:

    Brook Lopez
    Nerlens Noel
    Amir Johnson
    Gerald Henderson

    76ers Get:
    Allen Crabbe
    Noah Vonleh
    Shabazz Napier

    Nets Get:
    Mason Plumlee
    Meyers Leonard
    2017 POR 1st
    2019 POR 1st

    Celtics Get:
    Ed Davis
    Festus Ezeli
    CLE 2018 1st

    Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
    McCollum (23) / Turner (25)
    Harkless (30) / Henderson (18)
    Johnson (22) / Aminu (20) / Noel (6)
    Noel (18) / Lopez (30)

Leonards $9.2M this year is under 10% and next year the cap will be over $100M. So 9% isn't that much.

Ok, it's 9.7% I'm sorry for rounding. But that doesn't change the math. If you think it does, you didn't understand the point.
